Donating to animal shelters

My problem is that I am afraid I would have a hard time with wanting to adopt every animal no one else wanted.

That's what I am afraid of too! When I went down there for orientation and we took a tour, I wanted to take home all of them both cats and dogs. Sometimes I hate being such an animal lover because I know I can't rescue all of them. That's why I try to do my part. My family has always rescued stray animals.... It's all my parents fault why I love animals so much. Well.....I gotta blame it on somebody!

All of my pets except one was either a stray or rescued from a shelter. I think my mom bought a kitten for me as a christmas long time ago from a pet store. That kitten, the runt of the litter turn out to be one of the biggest cats I ever saw. Beautiful black cat (more like a black panther). We had him for 15 yrs. Rest in Peace Julius.

I donate what I can to local SPCA. I don't have consistent income and I earn less than minimum so I can't do the monthly donation consistent but I try to donate what I can. My groomer saves cats from a local shelter and I always donate to her kitties.

I have tried to adopt from a rescue before I got Pao but it wasn't a good experience and I didn't get to adopt any. I did think of trying to adopt/foster but I am not sure what hubby thinks plus it would be expensive to board 2 dogs when I go home to visit my family and I can't say I don't want to go home to visit my family because of my dogs....sigh I wish my family is close to me sometimes..

Tried to volunteer at a shelter too but they were full...not sure how you can have enough volunteers?
