| Aww, I loved reading all the stories! My brother likes my little Sapphire. Not as much as I do, though! He "deals" with her.

| First of all.........forgive me......I'm looking at older posts..........and I LOVE the title to this one...........Anyway......this is friggin hilarious!!!! Quote:
It was even HIS idea to get a Yorkie in the first place. He proudly shows her off unclothed.......now if she has on a cute dress or is in her pink bag, he'll say "here.....you hold her!" LOL! (note the two pieces of EVIDENCE below! )

| I think a lot of men are like that. They worry too much over how it appears to others; men that is. lol In my family, we loved all animals, so it didn't matter that in deference to my mom (she was afraid of large dogs), we always had small dogs. My dad had no qualms in walking them. Although I am myself divorced with no significant other in my life; I saw this with my daughter and her husband. He wanted big dogs: shepherds, akita, husky, etc. My daughter refused as they have 2 small preschoolers. She prevailed and got a pug which she just adores. My son-in-law complained about the dog, said he didn't like it, keep it away from him, etc. Within a few weeks, Leah was not only "tolerated", but even sleeping in bed with them. My daughter has even managed to get a few pics and video clips of him snuggling with the dog, even kissing her! So much for small dogs being unmanly!

| Previously, my boyfriend was very much against Yorkies and other so-called girly dogs. In the beginning, there were a lot of conditions before bf walked the dog- he couldn't be wearing any clothes and he had to be on a certain leash. Now, he ADORES his son and dresses Chase in coats so he won't be cold and walks him in his Furberry harness and leash. Haha. He gets approached by lots of girls, which is another plus . It may get better with time for you as well.

| My boyfriend was the same way until he realized that a little dog means he gets a lot of attention from women. We have a 'look but don't touch' policy so it works great. He takes the dog out when I don't want to and I don't have to force him to. Quote:

| LOL some funny posts. Well i'm a guy who don't mind small dogs and stuff. We never dress our toy poodle up, but my wife did have a pink leash for her which we never really used since she had free roam outside to go potty. Now i got my little yorkie we bought a harness and use the pink leash. I was in the vet's today to get her shots, and she had on her harness and the pink leash. Now my wife didn't go it was just me and the puppy and standing their it dawned on me! i must look pretty gay with all this pink LOL |

| YT 1000 Club Member | My DH and my brother have been best friends for a very long time. That's how I met DH 30 years ago! They were both lady killing hot rod too cool for your shirt types. Of course that was 30 years ago so all has mellowed quite a bit now after kids and marriage. We've all had our share of big dogs but now we all have small dogs and my brother started it. I never thought I'd see the day where these 2 men would love on these little dogs like they do. My brother treats his little yorkie-poo's and one rescue better then he probably treated his own kids. I love to see it, to me it means they're very comfortable with who they are and could give a rats a** what other people think. A man who puts so much importance on worrying what another man thinks of him is the one I worry about lol! BTW my DD has a husky and while I love the dog she sure is allot more work and mess then Roxie is. The blowouts twice a year which is like living in a barn while sheep are being sheered. She has much bigger stinky poo plus requires much more exercise which she doesn't get enough of and that makes her high strung. Great dogs but they really have to be worked hard since that's what they are, working dogs!

| MY DH was the same. He wasnt very thrilled when I wanted to get a Yorkie. ( we had Germand Shepard, Doberman before ) He said just remember the yorkie is yours and I dont want to be seen with one. The night we got Veer. DH was the one who said why dont we take him to bed with us, so Veer wont be afraid and stays safe. ![]() Now Veer sleeps every night with us in our bed. DH plays with him all the time. Its funny to see DH chasing Veer around the house. DH never stops me from buying Veer new cloths or toys. We take Veer on vacations. We are leaving to Orlando for 5 days and Veer is going with us. DH made sure to book a resort that accepts dog and didnt sulk to pay $25 a night for Veer. DH even has a pet name for Veer "my little creep". DH wont admit Veer is our dog but he readily admits he enjoys Veer more than any dog we owned. ( i will have to take a pic of them both sleeping ) Only a true man wont mind being seen with a Yorkie
