my baby licks the carpet this is a fairly new development since he is has not been on the carpet lately. He's 9 mos old and i brought him in here in by the computer and for the 3rd time he just lays on the floor and licks the carpet. I can't imagine why. I have moved him back to the kitchen - he seemed to be getting a little choked when he quit. Anybody else's yorkie do this? Harley's mom

My Trixie just got in the habit of licking everything!!! I finally got her to quit biting and chewing and now she's licking all fabric soaking wet- everything from the carpet to the bed covers to towels... I don't know what it is either...

Mine lick any fabric that has something they think is worth licking on it, usually a spill by my grandkids that is unknown to me.

I have all hardwood and tile floors in my house so I don't know about the carpet thing. Mine do lick the floors I have though, and even when I get down to see what their licking I don't see anything. Maybe it's just a doggie thing.

Have you tried perhaps spraying Bitter Apple on the carpet? It's a spray with smell or taste that our Yorkies generally don't like and thus will avoid when you spray it on. We've had to use it on our coffee table, as our Yoda chewed up the wooden legs a bit (back when he was only months old of course!)
