| Does everyone know this? Am I a bad mommy?!?! I was having dinner with some friends last night. I was talking about how Monkey got sick all night the other night practically threw up on everything. I didn't know why he got so sick. We got into a discussion on the things that we learn from forums like Y.T. and television shows about pets. Then one of my friends mentioned how she couldn't believe that grapes were like poison to small dogs...like chocolate!! I was SHOCKED! I eat frozen grapes as a snack quite often. I always give the babies a grape or two to eat almost every time I'm snacking!!! They love it. I just thought it would feel good in their little mouths. I can't believe that I've been poisoning my babies!!!! Tell me this is not true! Does everyone know this?!?!

| Thanks...I don't feel so bad. I know Monkey and Maddie will be really upset when they don't get their grape snacks anymore.

| Does anyone know what types of symptoms they would have after ingestion? I think that may have been why Monkey was throwing up and had diarrhea? Are there any other toxic fruits, veggies, plants, etc. that we should all know about?

| Nope, you're not a bad Mom at all. We all need to start somewhere, and we were clueless to about the good and the bad when we first got Yoda. But through books, friends, Web sites, and YT members, we learned a great deal. It's all about educating yourself as best you can about Yorkies, a little bit at a time. |
