| We can't do the walks in the cold. Even with her warm boots, a sweater and her coat and hat on Tink hops from one leg to the other. -18 this past week and with the windchill -40. She will run out to the yard, pee fast and run back soooo fast, I better have that door open so she can run right back in. Takes her maybe a minute! LOL ![]() She won't poo outside tho. Takes too long i guess. She uses the potty pads for that. HA HA! |

| yeah its -22 Celsius and I had to get snowpants on, mittens, hat, earmuffs the whole deal just to take Teddy out around the block and he loves the snow its a foot taller then he is .. he gets stuck in it but that doesn't keep him from jumping into foot steps and running all over the place.. good thing he has a jacket. |

Well it is now officially bitter cold here ....and we ain't walkin' ![]() Chloe can do laps around the living room I guess , but until this cold snap ends ...no outside walks for her. Her 2.5 lbs of nothingness would freeze in 2.5 seconds! Sydney on the other hand still wants to walk. She will do a quick pee outside and run back in, but if she sees me getting ready for a walk , she wants to come. I may keep walking her for a bit , I will have to wait and see. But I really don't want to

| No I don't walk Winston in this bitter cold...I do go out with him...I open the back door, he zips out...I tell him "hurry"...the magic word...he pees...he poops...and within a minute he's ready to come in and I had better have the door wide open.

| I personally hate this bitter cold weather we've had the last few days. Every day we've had a high of around 14, this past Friday, it was a high of 11 with a low of 5. It was horrible. Fortunately I had purchased a lined pink parka with a scarf from PetEdge for Molly to wear. But, even so, she wasn't too crazy about it. She's been wearing a sweater inside as well to make sure she's warm and doesn't get a chill. It's actually supposed to be a high of 26 tomorrow. lol |

| Do any of you use a dog tie out? I just use a harness on Cooper and tie him out to the tie out. He doesn't like it much but he goes out on the porch and down the steps sometimes he makes it off the sidewalk to the grass and in this weather ( bitter cold) he usually doesn't but it beats walking. he just gets the business done. Sometimes he uses pee pads in the house too. it depends on him. he will go to the door to go out with the other dogs. it is a funny thing, it depends on what the others are doing. I was just wondering about the dog tie out thing. I stand right at the door and watch them though and only let one out at a time. because I don't want them to get tangled up or anything. I only have 2 small steps and they can't go far from the steps.

We have a dog tie out and a 150 foot line. We have the ariel tie out not the ground so it is much easier and she doesnt get tangled on anything .We have the tie out just out of reach of the outdoor furnature , the trampoline and the play equipment, etc. so she cant get tangled. Sydney Loves to go on the tie out ...She chases things all around the yard But Chloe doesn't go on it.I didn't let her on it this past week , it was to bitter out , but I did let her out on it for a bit today and she ran around like a wild dog she was soooo happy !!

| Rosi and Apollo also have to go out for their walks, or else they drive me nuts , no matter how cold, they hate the rain , but once they are out in it they dont seem to mind.

Hahaha..Izzy is the same way..she is so tiny so with this bitter cold she has a sweater on. Our yard is fenced and I just open the patio door and she zooms like the wind to pee and pooh in record time. Funny though when she poohs it's so cold and her's poohs are so tiny that they stand just straight up. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Yup you better keep that door ready to open when they fly back in.
