| This is a little crazy. Yes it was wrong to take the pup away from his mom and siblings at 5 weeks old, but lets face it, that pup will be okay if she takes care of it. Feeds it high quality puppy food, I reccomend Royal Canine baby formula. It is great and they (puppies can eat it without it being ground up because it is very small. I would stop the puppy milk, he/she doesn't need it and that is probably why he/she is constipated. They don't need milk after 5 weeks. One of my girls stop feeding the minute they get teeth. How big is your puppy? Weight? He might actually be older, some horrible breeders say they are younger because they want people to think the puppy will be small. So what does he/she weigh? Nutri cal is good, but he/she might not need it. As far as stimulating him to poop, use a cotton ball with baby oil and rub / wipe gently, don't rub. If he needs to go he will. If you have questions you can always write me. Good luck

| There is no way you got that baby at 2 1/2 weeks...I don't think your vet really doesn't know. I knew one puppy that was 8 weeks and still did not have teeth. How big is he? Send us pictures.

| He looks like a Yorkie to me. I hope he turns out to be ok ![]() Even if you didn't know better than to get him so early, at least you're doing the right thing now by researching all you can. |

| He is a cut baby !!! and looks like a yorkie to me ! If the puppy was with his mother and litter mates he would be biting them too, however when he bites his litter mates would let a Yelp out warning him that it hurt . Your going to h ave to teach him not to bite by letting out a yelp .... Seriously, this will help him learn not to bite so hard. I agree that he needs the social skills training that he would of normally have been taught if not taken away so early . Now your going to have to teach him. This is extremely important. He needs to learn them now at this young age. Anther reason it is so important to have kept him with his littermates and mother.

| Wow, I have to say, I'm shocked at how young he is. Maybe your vet is right after all. He looks like he could be a yorkie, he snoot is a little long, but some yorkies are like that. Did you not see his parents? Glad he is doing well, keep up the good work.

| Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Wow, yes he is VERY young..it is very difficult determine if he is a silky or a yorkie right now, I have both and as little babies they both looked identical. my yorkie is 7 pounds and her body is more squearish than my silky which is 12 pound and her body is more obolong, otherwise they both look very similar, my silky's ears are bigger LOL here's some pictures of both, I love them both the same..LOL best of luck with your baby, silky or yorkie you will love him dearly..I am sure.. hugs, carmen in nj |

| I agree he looks awful young. He might have been around 4 weeks when you got him. Did you not get any papers with him? Not that they would necessarily be correct but I would be curious as to what date they put on them. How much does he weigh now? |

| nooo i didnt get him with papers. the mom n the dad was on site when we got the pup. they are yorkies, im not sure if she just faked it n say those dogs are the parents. well today i went to the pet shop n got him a bag of wellness pup dry food, u think i should put him on that?, since hes teething; mixing it with wet food? because we went over to our friends house n they have puppies too n my dog went over to the bowl n ate almost all the dry food in there. soo im assuming he can eat dry food now. o n the lady at the pet store recommended me to get sum small pup bones with flavors, but he barely got any teeth to chew on it, but i got it for him anyways. do u think after when he gets his 2 shots, that i take him to a training program? or its not even worth it? |

| Royal Canine is a better food for him, The baby formula. It is a little pricey, but he will eat so little of it, it willlast for a long time. He needs toys, soft things, a blanket, always have water in his area, feed him 4 times a day. Put down a wee wee pad.Wait for the training, he is too young. Good Luck
