They shouldnt have even charged you for that groom. I just think the whole thing is terrible. They should be ashamed |
I would never go back there again. Piper and Sebastian both had sore eyes from cuts around there eyes. My vet said never go there again, and I haven't. I have a new groomer that works out of her house, and she's wonderful. |
I hope it was the vet who stiched her & not a tech! I would definately call & talk to the vet. There is NO excuse for a wound that needs stitches. Once a groomer scratched Keegans cornea, after seeing the vet I called her & she said nothing happened. I never went back. |
This is VERY unprofessional on ALL counts A groomer who Cuts your dog ... and then the Vet who Stitches her and doesn't call you or AT LEAST meet you when you come to pick her up and give you instructions as to her aftercare  I'd be steaming mad |
I just talked to the vet manager, well, lets just say, it was basically a waste of time and energy. she told me that she's sorry, and that things happen, they are doing the best they can, they didn't have to put in stitches, but they are doing it for my benefit, and she would give me a $25 gift certificate toward future services. she made me feel that I am doing this because of the money. well, guess what, I just spent $35 on someone to cut my dogs leg open, now Im here to get $25 so in the future Dolly can get another wound from them again. I am so mad that I cannot even express myself. but unfortunately I might have to stay with the vet (not the groomer though), I know Dolly's specific vet (who is off today) personally, she is very nice, she is a young vet, very loving toward animals, she has done so much for Dolly, and she owns a yorkie as well, we usually go to the dog park together, she's given me so many advice on how to care for Dolly during special times. and most importantly, Dolly loves her, whenever we are out of town, she is the one to baby-sit DOlly and I don't have to worry about a thing. and I just cannot do it to Dolly. |
Oh my gosh, that is unbelievable!  How awful! I cantt believe they actually di that! You really should complain BIG time in my opinion. Surely that sort of conduct can geta a place shut down?! I mean, it's not like they haven't done it before either, is it? You should check with the other people you know who use the same place to see if they've had similar experiences. Bet they have, and if so you may be able to actually do something about it. Hope Dolly's leg gets better really soon, send her a snuggle from me, wont you? ;) Jess :heart to |
What do you mean that they didn't "have" to put the stitches in. Would they just have let your dog bleed? If the wound was severe enough to get stitches then it certainly was a big deal. Did you ask why you were not notified when the dog was hurt. I still can't believe what I'm reading. Call your "friend" the vet and tell her what just happened. :aimeeyorkCOCO :aimeeyorkPEBBLES :aimeeyorkTRIXIE |
There must somewhere you could report this vet for treating your baby without written authority. I have to sign a release for any treatment my vet recommends. I would certainly find some way to report this. |

I can't believe they had the nerve to do anything without your permission. That must have been some cut. I would never take my dog back to her, but first, she would get a piece of my mind. |
That poor dear! I would never ever take her back there again! I've never taken my yorkie to a groomer b/c I'm afraid something like you mentioned would happen to him. And I would not want that to happen! |
