| A couple of questions? Taylor is on Royal Canine, I would like to switch her to EVO. ( I think anyway). Does anyone one use this? I know this should be on the Diet and health, but I have a few other questions.... What am I doing wrong that this very smart little girl will not tinkle out side. SHe goes to the door and if I don't see her right away she just goes right there. Ok I know she's only 12 weeks old but we have been going at this for 2 weeks now. I know she is getting the hang of it but she has already gone in the house 3 times. All by the door, so I am glad for that. DO you think I should pick up the rugs until were good at this? SHe is such an angel ! She sleeps all night in her crate and goes in it on her own sometimes. She just barked at me to put her up in the chair so she can take a nap. Hmmm wonder if she might be getting a little spoiled.......well she is so darn cute..... My big dogs are just looking at me like, hey were not even allowed on the sofa and your letting her sleep in dad's chair...... One more question: I have noticed on the top of her head ( where there is usually a bow) looks a little greasy and stragglie. if that is a word. Could it be from the bow's. SHe almost looks a little silverish there too. Thank You for any help you might be able to give me! Tami <>< |

| I will take a shot at this.. EVO is an EXCELLENT food as long as she does not have any liver problems. I used to use it with mine and although they loved it, and they have no liver problems, it was just a bit too much protien for them so I switched to Innova chicken formula. As for the pottying by the door, she is doing FANTASTIC at such a young age. she ALMOST has YOU trained to watch her closer. lol I took up rugs while training because mine also were using pottypads and they seemed to confuse the rugs and the pads. At her age, I wouldn't put too many bows in or just use them for short periods of time and always remove them at night. The silver you are seeing will turn to gold eventually

| W*E*L*C*O*M*E! Sunnie has given you great advice. The only thing that I could possibly add is that it may not be a good idea to have her nap on a chair without you holding her. If she were to fall or jump off of there, she could get very hurt.

| Thank you so very much ! I totally understand about the chair. I kept my eye on her, but to tell you the truth I forgot she was up there. (Bad Mommy) I homeschool my kids, and it was so much fun starting 2009 with a new puppy! If only I would be able to post a picture..... I have tried a couple of times but I will ask for help from my older ones when they get a few min. I will take up the rugs..... I thought this would be a good idea. Do any of your furkids take the food out of their bowls and eat it on rug? She takes a little out and brings it to the rug. It's the cutest thing..... Thank You AGAIN ! Tami <>< |

| i recently switched my kids to EVO with pretty good success!! so far so good .. best of luck with your new baby! and yes, miss buffey does the same thing with her food...except she bats each individual piece around a bit before eating it - almost like she is trying to catch and kill it first lol

| Is there different types of evo? I thought the protein in it was a little high. Also they don't seem to have a puppy formula? |

| I can't tell you about the food, but there's a list of good and bad foods on here somewhere. I think she's doing great at potty training especially at her age. She knows where to go to the bathroom. Now all she has to do is to train you to let her out more. LOL

| True ! I get up and down 60 times a day. Every time she even looks at the door I am running and yelling "good girl Taylor potty out side" my kids think I've lost my mind. Oh the goofy things we do.... |

| You answered your own question. She is ONLY 12 weeks od. Just an infant. the fact that she goes to the door is marvelous. Two weeks is a very short time. maybe you could put a pee pad infront of the door. |

| I agree. I would pull the rugs and put a pee pad by the door. She's doing VERY well being it's only been 2 weeks. I just recently switched Lola to raw but did use Evo in the past. She loved the chicken but I don't know if they have a puppy formula or not. |

| Yes, that was what i was thinking. Placing a pee pad by the door will encourage her to use it. Is it real cold where you live? That could have something to do with why your tiny one does not want to go pee outside. It takes a lot of time and patience potty training, bnut they will get it ! Congradulations on your new puppy, and welcome to YT, you will love it here !
