Has anyone elses spouse acted like this when you were about to get a new dog that they didn't really want? What was the outcome?

AND Julien doesn't like the name Kricket - I think he wants to change it. I do to in a way, but it seems so hard since he's been called Kricket for 8 months while in the rescues care. (He was there 8 months because he had liver shunt surgery and they wanted to be sure he was fully recovered before adopting him out.) Has anyone ever change a dogs name? How did that go? Is it too confusing to the dog? So many questions and concerns - I want to do this good deed, but I pray that it goes smoothly.

I felt bad for changing her name but I didnt like the name "Claire" for her so I changed it to something similar - Chloe. She seems to respond to it. Having 2 small dogs is the same as having 1 small dog in my opinion. The workload is the same. They keep eachother company so I dont feel as bad when I leave the house. Its when you have 3 dogs that it seems like the workload doubles!!. Im sure your husband will come around once he bonds with the new one!!! dont worry too much. My boyfriend was sorta like that when we got our third dog. He was like "Are you crazy? 3 dogs!!!!" but now hes totally in love with her and says he couldnt imagine life without her!!!.

Did you find Cricket on petfinder.com? because I think I saw him on there when I was looking for a rescue yorkie. I hope everything works out and please keep us updated!.
