I don't know how much the Heart Guard and Advantage are, but the Revolution is kinda expensive... but it also protects against heartworm, fleas PLUS ear mites, mange, roundworm & ticks. And that's why I like it. I'll stick with it - until it causes a problem. Thanks for the assistance. :)

I have tried the Revolution, and I am using it right now. I do change off and on to different kinds. I don't know, I guess my thinking is maybe fleas get use to one kind???? :rolleyes: LOL ! I change off and on with my hair conditioner too!
I know, I am a little weird. :D

It's official - we have been approved for the lil' guy (Kricket)!!!! There were 3other applicants for him, fewf! We get to pick him up on Friday night! I can't wait - will post pics once we get him home!

Ahhhh..congratulations on your your new adoption,cant wait to see pics..i too would love a little playmate for Harley but think D.H will take a hell of a lot of convincing..gonna keep trying though..:)

My dh was completely against it too. Just when I gave up, he gave in! That's what 4 days straight of sulking, pouting & crying (yes, there were tears) can do for you! lol But I do appreciate him for agreeing to it, and plan on posting pics to YT & the rescue of him & the new lil one together when I can. Hopefully of them snuggled up together sleeping! LOL

Yea!!!!! I'm so happy.

You know, I was thinking the rescue people were being a little picky - having concerns about which brand of meds you use. Ithought they should be glad that a good family wanted to adopt Kricket. Little did I know there were other families interested in him. Well, I'm glad they made the right choice. ;)

Has DH picked out a name yet, or was he waiting until it was official?

I thought they were being pretty particular too. But it's not like I have to do what they recommend, they were just voicing their opinions, which is fine I guess.
No, dh still hasn't picked a name for him yet, and it's keeping me on the edge of my seat!! lol I think he's waiting until we get him home and get to know his personality a bit more. So I'm hoping that by Saturday I can let you know. He has narrowed a huge list of names that I had down to 9. So far it's between:
Chase, Trooper, Chopper, Ryder, Cooter, Koby, Scout, Nico or Capes.

Of those names I like and think Koby suits him best.

Ok i know were to come then when i need to turn the tears on..lol :eyetearss just wanted to mention also that i too use the revolution and have never had any problems..:)

OMG!!!! How wonderful ! Can't wait to see pics and hear about your rescue adventure! It is going to be a looooonnnnngggg week. But how exciting Friday will be! :D:D:D

I just saw this thread and wanted to say Congradulation to you and your husband! That is so exciting to be adopting from a rescue group. 30 aplicants wating the same dog had to have been stressful! And they picked you guys, how cool is that !
I can't wait to see pictures of your new little guy! I think changing his name is a good thing, make him more of a little boy dog! Give him a new idenity to fit in your family ! He will soon learn fast :D

One more sleep before I bring home the new lil' guy! I can't wait - it's all I've been thinking about tonight. Surprisingly the week seemed to go by fairly quickly, I guess the fact that I was swamped at work helped me along. But I don't know if I'll be able to sleep tonight! :) But in another way I feel so bad about sharing my excitment because I've read a couple posts on here tonight where their babies aren't doing good at all. My heart goes out to them & their babies, and I wish I could make things better for them.

I have been thinking about you. The week did go quickly, once I got through Monday. I am so excited for you! I can't wait to hear all about ???'s homecoming! (Still waiting on a name...) ;)

Take lots of pictures, and check in when you can tear yourself away. :)
