| Male vs. Female I currently have 3 female inside furbabies. I am looking to add another yorkie to my home and have been offered a male. I have heard so much about males "marking" in the house. I don't know if I want to take that chance. Can anyone with males offer me any advice?

| If he's not neutered that would be the first step. They have all kinds of spray that you can use so that won't mark. I got mine to stop by going outside with him everytime he went out, and if he went I gave him a treat. Hope it helps.

| Sorry, I don't have any advice to give but I too have heard the horror stories! That is one of the reasons why I have only been looking for a female... I def want to hear what someone with a male has to say. Hopefully positive things |

| I have 2 males. Squirt is in tact, & doesn't mark in the house. He does a lot of marking when I take him for a walk outside. Gus is neutered, & doesn't mark.

| I have heard that male Yorkie are notorious markers. But, if they get fixed it should stop the behavior.

| I had Jack neutered and he is almost one year old. He has never "marked" his territory in the house. The only time he has tinkled in the house is when Mommy doesn't get up right away. And believe me, he tries to wake me when he needs to go outside. It's funny b/c I'll open my eyes and he'll be right in my face making growling noises. If I close my eyes like I'm going back to sleep, he'll bark a couple of times. It is so cute!

| Hey Val! I think we talked about this before, but neither of my boys mark. Ranger was neutered at 6 months and has never lifted his leg, and Ryder was neutered at 14 months and he does not mark either. I don't think people give boys a chance They are sooooo sweet and loving!!!

| I've had alot of male dogs, currently & in the past. They've all been neutered & none of them marked the house anytime. So if he's neutered he'll be fine... I can't say for sure about intact males though.

| Oliver was neutered at 5mos and has never marked anything. He actually still squats to pee. He is the sweetest little guy! Very much a lap dog...i think sometimes boys get a bad rap..:d

| My Yorkie and Yorkie Poo have never marked, and I've had them 6 and 7 years. Both were neutered as puppies. I'm crazy in love with my boys, and would never hesitate to get another male.
