One thing that is throwing me off... you say this was an "oops" litter... BUT if she had a male AND female dog, both of age, and she was NOT planning to breed, then why didn't she have them fixed? Truthfully, I think this woman is a scam of some sort. |
bcz the female was being left outside and not treated right |
and none of her dogs have whats not needed ....she thinks its cruel....they even still have their tails...she said that dogs lived longer when they didnt get the opperations they didnt need once uppon a time....and my grandma agreed with her...she doesnt believe in opperations that are not needed to live |
and i guess if the dog has health problems we'll take care of it.. we can pay the vet no problem ..but its not garantee that he is going to have serious health problems yet |
right? |
ok things arent adding up here, you post earlier how much she loves her dogs yet the female isnt treated right????things arent adding up here.... |
no she loves the dogs...the family she got it from didnt |
the female is 6 years old....the family that had her for 5 years left her outside |
she got the dad from a breeder a couple of weeks before she got the female |
so what does that have to do with her not having them fixed? |
i wrote it euhmmmm a couple of minutes ago....and ashley(i think) asked with she had a female and a male |
i wrote for the female and male thing...and the fixed thing |
we asked alot of questions and she was REALLY talkative...lol.....sooo....what else should i look foward to about having this yorkie? |
But she still should have known that her female dog was in heat and could get pregnant. To have an unneutered male dog around with a female that isn't fixed is silly. And if she didn't have the surgery because it's not "necessary" to save their life... well it kinda is. Spaying and neutering can prevent cancer and other health problems as the dog ages. It also prevents situations like this. If she wasn't planning on spaying or neutering her dogs, she shouldn't have a male and female. She should have one dog only or two dogs of the same gender. This woman is going to continuously have litters if she doesn't fix them. This is one of the many reason there are so many dogs on the streets and in shelters. |

her female had to get fixed so she wont have anymore litter... i forgot to say that the baby wasnt getting out so she brought her dog to the vet and she got euhmmm i dont know what its called in english...but they had to cut her to get the baby....so they had to fix her for safety...but that was the reason why she didnt get the female fixed before...i was just afraid you might say that the baby might get more health problems if i told you that he couldnt be born by himself because he wasnt straight in the mother....he had the butt coming out first |
Go to the YT baby nursery listed in the 'forum' area & check out the pictures of the little pup's to see if yours looks like the ones in the pictures there. It is to bad that, in your area, you don't have a great selection of places to find that certain dog. And like you said, your parents are buying the dog. So, now you have some information to share with your parents. I got lucy from a regular household, and only saw the mother dog. I feel very fortunate to have found her. I will say that the people I got her from kept her until she was 4 months old. She has turned out to be the best Yorkie I could have ever imagined having. She is now 4 1/2 years old. I hope all the best to your parents with their new dog. |
you got her when she was four months and shes ok? but people have been telling me that 6 months was too young? |
They are telling you that 6 weeks(1 1/2 month) is to young, you should wait until 10 to 12 weeks(or about 4 months) |

woah i meant and understood weeks...lol..oops....ill try to tell my mom to tell the lady to keep him till the minimum 8 weeks...i wont push it too far cuz my mom wont like it...and the baby looks exactly like the pics on the nursery forum exept for the white tips on his back paws and he has a little more black.... but aside from the colour....hes like the twin of all those babies |
Since you already put down a $400.00 deposit , which I am assuming is non refundable ...Even if he isn't a pure Yorkie there isn't really anything you can do about it unless you are willing to lose your money and look for another dog. If it is refundable ...get your money back ,find a breeder here that has puppies that can be shipped ( when the weather is warmer) and offers a health guarantee. Just because there isn't a breeder in your town doesn't mean you can't find one. But like I said if you already paid a non refundable deposit , there isn't much else to do. So just learn as much as you can about taking care of him , see if you can get a written health guarantee ( which I doubt) and see if she can keep him with the mom for a while longer so he can get as strong as possible before being separated. |

17 ...why? |
Just wondering...I could tell you were young and was happy that you are taking steps to know all you can and inform your mom. |
yeah...i know by reading some of the advice that i should try to find another dog and such...and that he might have medical bills ...but i decided to accept and get the dog even if he has medical bills...health problems ae not the dog's fault...and we will be able to pay for all of it if he needs some...when i tought about it...all people have been telling me thats actually a really bad thing is the medical bills...but if we dont get him she might sell him to someone that cant afford it without knowing...and even if the father was a different colour he looked like a yorkie ..and they were both beautifull...the father was smaller than the mother but other than that and the colour they looked exactly the same....so the puppy has to be beautifull also |
It's very important with the yorkie breed to read all you can and really understand the rewards of having the breed, but at the same time realizing there are also alot of challenges to deal with. Owning a dog to me is like a missing puzzle piece...it either fits into the family perfectly or it doesn't fit at all (which can be so very sad). That's why it's good to know the breeds temperments etc. As long as a person is willing to love these little ones unconditionally it should be a perfect match. Best wishes to you and your family with the new addition. This is the best place to come to for lots of info. |
oh he'll get LOADS of affection...since were 6 in the family..affection and love and time isnt the problem |
and he's always going to have someone home with him...even when were at school...my mom works as my dad's secretary for his business sooo she stays at home during the day and does the work at home |
