| Question for anyone familiar with OK Yorkie Rescue I am considering adding another yorkie to my familiar....preferably a lil girl After learing about puppy mills and realizing I got Pepe from BY Breeder I decided to go through a rescue rather then a breeder. My question were.....do you know about how long the whole application process takes and I have heard that Rescues do not allow someone to adopt when they have young children? This concerns me as I have 2.5 year old girl, but she is wonderful with Pepe....I took a great amount time to teach her how to be gentle with him and would never leave her alone with him (just in case). I saw a precious girl on their site and was just wondering if anyone could help me find out this info. Thanks,

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Well you'll probably get the answers to your questions...from the horse's mouth so to speak. OK rescue is run by several member's here. I'm sure one will be along to help you. I don't know their policy on children, but most rescues wouldn't place in a home with a child that young. Good luck.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Hi, I work with OK Yorkie Rescue and want to thank you for considering one of our rescue kids for your next yorkie. I would tell you to fill out the application and allow the reference checks to begin. A home visit will also take place and it is then that your home situation would be evaluated and determined if this would be a good placement. I know we have placed yorkies with families that have younger children but normally the yorkie will be one of the larger ones we have. Which girl were you interested in?
