Yes, it is Nancy. Lou, I am so sorry you went through this BUT so happy your DH knew what to do.:) |
Thanks Nancy! I pull it out whenver I see the collar question. I don't want ANYONE to go through what I did. It is awfully hard to drive 15 minutes to the vet crying, praying and trying not to speed because your first little love has been declared dead! I bet I parayed "God please don't let it be true! a million times!" Sigh |

Do you remember, too, when Brook's little puppy, Mocha, got caught on his x-pen with his collar and she found him hanged? I don't think I'll ever forget that for the rest of my life! |
I hadn't seen it either - what quick thinking and a good ending - it easily could have been a big tragedy.....I bet that day lives in your head forever I never came close to losing either of mine but remember Chanel jumping off a table and me thinking she broke all 4 legs...my husband had forgot to push his chair in and she used it to climb .....saw me and took a flying leap right on the tile floor - all 4 legs spread eagled and she smacked her poor little nose straight on the tile - It scared the heck out of me to the point of shaking and crying - which to this day I can still hear in my head and my husband was very tough on himself - accidents happen but it's learning from them that counts |

OMGosh! What a frightful call for you to get at work! Hugs to you! I'm so glad she is doing okay now and that Skeeter is also! What a scare! I don't put collars on my dogs because I've read so many stories such as yours. I'm so glad your babies are okay! |

So glad it didn't have a worse outcome! |
Lou, my gosh :(! I don't know how I missed this thread in December - I am so sorry you and the babies and your husband went through this. Such quick thinking on your husband's part, and your part though - you both saved Adie's life. Big hugs, Lou. Again, so sorry I didn't see this earlier, my friend. |
Lou, Thanks for sharing your story. I always leave Levi's collar on him when I go to work. Thinking, if my son comes home before me....he has his tags on if he "slipped" out the door. But, after reading this I will take it off before I leave. He is microchipped anyways...and I harness him for walks. I would never of thought it would be dangerous...Thank you..and sorry you had to go through this..Rose and Levi |
thank god she is ok.... i would have been scared to death too |

Oh my what a horrible experience for all of you. Thank goodness your husband was able to save your baby. God was looking out for you all today. |
