| I'm so upset! Am I being too dramatic? I got home last night after a week long trip. I was so excited to see my little Chase. Well, my boyfriend had a surprise waiting for me. He took him to the groomer's for the works. Chase looked disastrous. They shaved his body and even cut the hair around his face. It broke my heart and I started crying. Of course, my boyfriend then felt horrible. Needless to say, he's not allowed to take Chase to the groomer's anymore. Am I being overly dramatic and sensitive? I know that hair grows back, but it'll be a bad hair day everyday until then...

| I'm sure it was quite a surprise to come home and find your baby shaved! But, at least your BF was doing something nice. There are lots of other things you could have been upset about, ie.......not taking good care of the dog!

| I can relate. My husband took my little guy to the groomers when he was a pup and they cut way too much. He looked like a poodle...they cut all the hair on his face...I was a mess. Lots of crying and anger at my husband because they asked him how much he wanted taken off and he said it was OK to go pretty short...and that was all. Hence...I have taken Biggie to the groomers 2 times since then and even when I provide pictures and explain what I want done..they mess him up! SO..we groom him at home ourselves now in a puppy cut. |

| Ohhhh , poor thing I know he was doing something nice for you , but I can understand your shock. I would be upset too. But like you said it will grow back , so in the mean time it's a good excuse for more cute jackets and sweaters P.S. ...tell BF no more groomer trips when your out of town...if he likes surprises ...Diamonds are always nice

BF meant well...and I understand how bad "bad" haircuts make you feel....all of mine have had at least one that I hated. If you fuss over Chase and tell him how cute he is....he'll wiggle all over. Mine all loved to hear that...even when I really thought they weren't. It does grow back...

| I think its so nice that your bf thought enough to try. He found something that he knew was important to you, Chase, and tried to do something nice for him and you, getting him groomed. Sometimes its the thought more than the actual results that should be appreciated. Chase will care less that he looks like a lion as long as he still gets loving and I would thank bf a lot for the thought even if i asked him to never get him groomed without consent again Hope Chase grows back real quick for you both! |

| I knew you guys would understand my point of view! My boyfriend did have his heart in the right place, I know. He took very good care of him otherwise. Here's hoping that his hair grows fast and long!!!

| My Mac had 2 years of hair growth. I had asked the groomer to trim him shorter because he had a few mats. She refused and said his hair was too pretty and I would have to get someone else if I wanted it cut. All the customers and working people agreed, Well being so proud about how everyone was caring on about him I told my husband what all they had said about about Mac and refusing to cut him.( she got all the mats out and I was happy) MY HUSBAND a few weeks later, after I WENT TO BED,TOOK THE CLIPPERS AND ATTEMPTED TO CUT MAC HIMSELF!!!!(he thought I still wanted it done) AND I MEAN SHAVED! ALL JAGGED AND TOTALLY MESSED UP. I LITERALLY WENT INTO HYSTERICS WHEN I GOT UP THAT NEXT AM!! Cried every time I looked at Mac. FOR DAYS! He even cut his little tummy... ok now I am P.O. again NEway... what I wanted to say is I know how you feel and I'm sorry..they mean well......It will grow back....SLOWLY!!! He looks perfectly fine now....

| So sorry, but, his hair will grow back. I can say I'm lucky, as my hubby wouldn't even know how to find the groomers house that I take mine too. I'm sure he was just trying to get him all nice and clean for his mommy, I'm sure he wouldn't have done it if he knew it was going to upset you |

| I would be Pissed-Off too! My BF of 3 yrs. takes very good care of my 3 Yorkies but he would never take it upon himself in good judgement anyway, to ever take them to a Groomer for any reason.......that's like cutting my own Hair! Your BF had his Heart & Effort in the right Intention but that seems very Personal to me? What was he Thinking? Why would he take him to the Groomers w/o asking or being told to? Don't worry it will grow back pretty fast and you will appreciate it more when it does.
