| The Snow Is Here!! We just got our yorkie in October and now that the snow is here we are unsure what to do. She LOVES the snow and would stay out all day if we let her. Since she loves it so much I took her out on a walk today and she was very happy to be running and playing in it, however, I noticed a couple times she was shivering a bit. Not uncontrollably... but every now and then I noticed a bit of shiver in her. We always put a coat on her and have boots for her but she refuses to wear them. Is there something that we can do to let her run and play in the snowy MN winter but still keep her safe? Also, what about the salt on the road? any suggestions to make sure she doesn't get sick because of that? |

Well, your dog is just like my girl, Fiona! she loves, loves, loves being outside, she doesnt care if its snowing, raining, windy, cloudy, or sunny! as long as you have a coat, sweater, or just keep attempting at the booties, i think your doing great! this is what Fiona wears outside, even though we havent had that much snow out here yet.....

| If you keep trying she might get used to the shoes. If not, make sure the rest of her is warm. You might need to layer if it gets really cold. Sometimes when we go for walks Gus wears pj's to cover his legs, a sweater and coat. The salt can make her sick so wash her paws when you get home and make sure she doesn't lick them before you do.
