| Thor's Human Donating Member | Do they mix?? We had cats growing up, and those cats saw Christmas as that wonderful time of year when humans put up a tree covered with sparkly cat toys. It was pretty hilarious to watch, because they knew they'd get yelled at if they got caught near the tree. They'd sneak up and bat the ornaments with a look of pure evil in their eyes and than streak out of the room as fast as they possibly could. So my question is: does a yorkie who is trained to go outside think, oh how nice, they've brought a tree inside for me to mark! |

				   | This makes two Christmas's with our two. One female, one male and have never had that happen. They still go outside to potty and no marking the tree ![]() Paula Halle Brutis |

				   | My Schnauzers have always loved Christmas trees to scratch their backs on. Didn't matter if it was live or artificial, they loved going under the branches to scratch, then napping on the Christmas tree skirt. This will be first Christmas with Yorkie & Morkie pups, and will be an adventure for sure.

				   | This is our first christmas with any yorkies and we finally decided to try it with the tree. We havent had even one problem so far. Been about a week and a half *cross your fingers* We did have an incident at our Grandmothers house. She has a crinkly swooshy sounding light colored tree skirt, well Houston being the devil he is of course walked right up and peed on it in front of everyone. We all assume its because it seemed like a pee pad. We havent used pee pads in months but its good to know that he knows what they are for : ) |

				   | I was worried about Teddy and the tree too, I've had sneaky cats in the past! He hasn't bothered the tree or the ornaments at all!

				   | We don't get a tree this year my parents house is too crowded with stuff. But last year I had one in my own place and he didn't mess with it, he liked to sniff it so he would try to crawl under it to sniff then go to sleep so I gave up putting ornaments on the bottom row of branches cuz they would get bumped off. Other than that he just thought it was a new place for a nap.

				   | I have two girls and an artificial tree, and I've never had a problem. They DO like to sleep underneath it-I think they like the dim light it gives off.

				   | So far I've been very surprised that Wrigley hasn't messed with the tree other than smell it a few times. I didn't figure Rainer would mess with it. Wrigley does like to lay under it sometiems though

				   | Last year was Tucker's first Christmas and we had to put an x-pen around it because he would chew on the branches but no marking. We don't have our tree yet for this year so we shall see if he can leave it alone now that he's a whole year older!
