As for me.... I like both big and small dogs. I'm a dog lover anyways, always have been but Zoe is my first really small dog. For me, I like how safe I feel with a big dog. I know that my collie would give her life to save me and I know Zoe would too it's just that Zoe is no protection against another dog or someone intent on doing harm and my Collie, Sasha is. But other than that.. they really are both dogs and they both like to chew on bones and play fetch and go for walks and best of all, cuddle with me. | |

| Before I got small dogs, I didn't like them (well, I liked maltese and that is it.) I guess the reason being that big dogs seem selfless and they look like you can walk a lot with them and play. That they will be loyal. And I still think it is true. My little ones will protect themselves, before me...they are selfish little creatures wanting what THEY want all the time. If i give them a kiss, they show me the treat jar... everything is about themselves...and I wouldn't have it any other way They are charming.

| YT 3000 Club Member | I did not used to like little dogs, I thought they all yapped too much. I adore chester and he is not yappy besides I dont want a shedding drooling 80 lb dog in my bed. What is there not to love about a yorkie. |

| I am the proud owner of a 95 lb. lab, 25 lb. mix, 16 lb. yorkie and 6 lb. yorkie... I couldnt love either of them more than the other... My BIG dog is the bomb! She gets along with the babies so well and is a protector to Hope and Tootie is her best friend. I have always had both small and large dogs and wouldnt trade those experiences... BUT, the love and I think, neediness of the babies(Hope and Tootie) just ties a tigher string around my heart... its almost like having a baby again ![]() d

| HI! I think people don't like little dogs because they are jealous! Yup, I absolutely think that...Because people know little dogs are expensive and they can't afford them so it makes them feel better to THINK that they don't like little dogs when they actually do...who couldn't love a little angel??? I am so in love with my little Sushi that i never care about people's comments. and i get lots of comments, some nice some mean. it's always amazing to hear "i don't like small dogs" because it's totally a double standard. i never say, "i don't like big dogs" because i like all dogs! i just love, love YORKIES!!! they are the sweetest most amazing breed. Sushi has brought more joy in my life than any other animal and i love him endlessly! |

| i don't know exactly. i always had big dogs growing up (a golden retriever and a german shepard and a siberian husky) and i still looveee big dogs, but for me personally... smaller dogs are easier to handle. less maintenance, i guess you could say. i would've loved to own a bigger dog again and i probably will some day, but they shed more, they eat more, they poop more (and bigger! lol) you can't travel as easily with them, etc. but i have certain pros/cons for both, small and larger dogs. plus, i'm currently living at home and although i have my own seperate room/place, my stepdad is really allergic to dogs, therefore i have to stick with the non-shedding pups! |

| milu is my first doggie ever, so i am not an expert. but this is what i think ![]() the advantages of owning a small doggie: 1. you can wash them in the kitchen sink. 2. easy travel size. 3. smaller poop. the advantage of owning a big doggie: 1. you can wrestle with them. 2. they can maybe protect you. (depending on the dog's personality) 3. less likely to get hurt. and i think bigger dogs also have longer life span than smaller dogs. (or is it the other way around? ) |
