can anyone tell me fi my yorkie looks purebred 1 Attachment(s) The lady I bought her from says she is but pictures I see do not look like her. Please help me if you can. |
Sorry,I cant help,,,but your baby is a doll:) |
How old is she? It's hard to tell the picture is on the dark size. She looks Yorkie, they all seem to look so different and do change as the get older. Her ears and coloring are diffenately Yorkie, her muzzle may be a little long but some do have longer muzzles. Enjoy her, she's a cutie. You will probably never know if she does not have papers. However, she looks more than not IMO. Welcome to YT. |
I'll try to get some better pics today. She is 9 months old. Vet said she could be Australian terrier or chihuahua mix. Some say red legged. Who knows she is an awesome dog and we love her. She weighs 3.8 pounds. Thanks for your help. |
I think she is very adorable, I'm not 100% sure but she looks yorkie to me, the quality of the picture isn't the best though so it is a little hard to tell, maybe a better picture would help!! |

My Gypsy is a red legged Yorkie and she looked very similar to your girl at that age. |

Looking at her head and facial structure...I think she's a chilhuahua yorkie mix. |

Welcome to YT:wavey: whether pure yorkie or not your little one is adorable xxx xxx |
Looks like part Chihuahua to me,but as long as you love them that's all that matters. |
She's a cutie! |
Of course a mix is fine...however, the OP was likely deceived when purchasing her. |
other pics of mia 1 Attachment(s) maybe this will help |
Shir...I'm still inclined to say she's a chi/yorkie mix |
thanks to everyone We had test done on her yesterday and will know today if she is very healthy. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I did pay for a yorkie but as long as she is healthy that is fine. A little disappointed but she is a great dog and very loveable now that we have had her a week. She was malnourished and very scared. The vet said but owner says different of course. Now we are her family and love her to death. Just wanted to know her background in case something does happen to her. Maybe the DNA test will help. Has anyone had that done before? :animal36 |
Sounds like she has a wonderful new family and definitely in a better home than before. MARS offers a dna test. It cost about around 80 - 100 bucks. It's 85% accurate on the first generation. So it's not perfect. |

Of course, there really is no telling these days, unfortunately. Even dogs that look like the textbook Yorkie may not be, depending on how the genetic dice landed. Despite what any dog may "look like" in a picture, there is really no way to tell for sure. |
Love that pic! She is ADORABLE! Is she a good kid? |
