I think she coooould be a yorkie if her traits run in her family. did you see the parents???? if not then she might be a mix of chi and yorkie in my opinion she is one of THE CUTEST ive seen so adorable :) |
Look's chihuahua x yorkie to me Both great breed's. |
Adorable, but looks like a chi mix to me |
First off, your little girl is absolutely darling...she has the sweetest little face and looks like a true angel! IMO though, she does not look like a PUREBRED Yorkshire Terrier...but to be honest, it doesn't even matter. She is a real sweetie no matter what she is! :D It kind of looks like she may be a Yorkie/Chi mix, to me anyway... |

im not sure.. it looks like she does have some yorkie in her, though.. :) she's a doll! adorable! |
I'm not sure, but she's precious!!! |
Welcome to YT , you'll like it here! If you purchased her and she told you that ( the breeder ) she may have lied as she does look like a Yorkie/Chi mix, I say this because of the way the forehead is and the eye spacing as well as the muzzle... she has LOTS of chi features... but her coloring and hair and ears look all Yorkie... But like others said.. if you love the little girl and she loves you and makes you happy, who cares :) she's adorable anyway and I am sure as sweet as can be! I can brighten the pic for you and sharpen it up if you want...just let me know. |
AKC Registered? I agree w/everyone else she looks like a Chi/Yorkie Mix? Did you get Papers? Is she AKC. Registered? What does her Pedigree look like? Did you get the results from the DNA Test? Just curious how accurate it is? |
I can definitely see the facial struture of a chihuahua in the first picture. She most likely is a cross between a yorkie and a chihuahua. She's a cutie though :) |
She does look like a Chi/Yorkie mix, though that is not a bad thing, unless she was sold to you as a purebred. She is VERY cute! |

Looks like a Yorkie to me. If they all looked alike they would be boring wouldn't they? Am I not a human cause I don't look like you? |

I think she is an absolute doll!!! But I think she looks like a long haired chihuhua...BUT SHE IS A DOLL!! |
she is adorable I really love her but the lady said if there was anything wrong with her by today (which I had test done) she would take her back. Her test reveal she has liver shunt problem high on her bile acid test. Haven't had DNA test yet. But now the lady is arguing with me saying she is full blooded yorkie, is not malnourished, and does not have any problems. I have gave her results and still nothing. I'm not mad just disappointed. She is a cutie and very loveable. Still potty training but otherwise a great dog. I don't care really what she is but I can't have a sick dog. I have tried everything to get her to eat and she won't. maybe a little if I hand feed her. I am giving her vitamins though to keep her healthy but she needs to eat. I have tried eukanuba, science diet, and puppy chow. Nothing. Her mom is suppose to be AKC and dad CKC but I did not see and the lady told me if she gave me papers I would have to pay more. Guess I should have checked in to things a little better. If she does take her back I will be looking again. oh well. thanks to everyone and have a blessed day. |
welcome to YT! looks like a chi/yorkie mix to me. either way super cute!! |
I know it must be hard to have to consider giving her back to the breeder. To be honest, I'm not sure that I could. Bottom line is though, if you decide to get her, you are getting a non-purebred dog with health issues. You have to decide if you are willling to deal with that and go from there. That is why it is always a good idea to have these sorts of issues sorted out before hand and all the 'proof' and health screenings done in advance--they SHOULD have already been done by the breeder regardless. Better to know ahead of time than to find out after you've become emotionally attached to the dog. |

Liver shunt and mvd She does have mvd and bile acid test were high. I am torn because I don't want her to go back to that environment but also don't like paying $350 for a sick dog that is not full blooded like I was told. Also that there was nothing wrong with her. Think I might talk to a lawyer. |

I understand and totally sympathize. The shunt issue really needs to be evaluated further. The sooner surgery is completed...the better. You are fortunate the University of Tennessee is considered one of the best places to have it performed and it's significantly less than in other areas of the country. So much so...people have flown their pets down there to have it performed. If you do a search here on shunts...there is loads of information regarding what to expect, medical costs, plus info on liver shunt groups on yahoo. |

i agree with the vet. she def looks like a chihuahua in her face! she is adorable ! |
chihuahua The first thing that came to my mind was a chihuahua cross. The face looks like a chihuahuah with yorkie hair and color. |
