| Are Yorkies attention yonkies? I just have to share, because it is just to interesting, I think. I went to the vet with trixie. Every single person in the reception area wanted to pet her, and those who didn't were approached by her, with barks and yaps. As we enter the examination room, the vet went nuts talking to trixie as if she was a little human baby. Then she excused herself and went to another room from wich I could hear words of admiration from several female techs. I could only imagine, them passing trixie around while saying things like how precious. Look at her coat!! Oh my god, I can never find one of those (these I heard). One of them actually fallowed me to the door asking me all kind of questions about her. No I am not complaining. On the contrary, I am very happy she causes this kind of reaction. I just wonder Is it always like this with yorkies? |

| Trixie's gorgeus! I can see why people are so taken with her. Missy does get this kind of attention as well, but I think it's because she's a tiny 10 week old puppy.

| Chloe is so quiet no one usually knows she is with me ( I keep her in her carrier because I'm afraid they will kick us out of the store ) and when I am sure it's O.K. I take her out and people are just usually shocked to see her emerge from her "purse" Then they usually say .....Ooohhhh ,shes cute. I think people still assume she is a very young puppy because she's small so the want to see her, and really who can resist a puppy

| Twinkle got loads of attention when she was a puppy....I couldn't walk for more than a few yards without having to stop so someone could pet her! She still gets attention, mainly from children who all say how cute she is, and everyone comments that she is tiny! Twinkle's 8lb so I can't even imagine the reaction if I had a little 3 or 4 pounder! People around here would probably be blown away by the cuteness xxx xxxx

Senior Yorkie Talker | Jamie gets lots of attention too and sometimes while I am in the shop he waits outside with my dad, he lies upside down in his arms and pats him in the face with his paws and gives him lots of doggy kisses, you can imagine the aaaaaws you get especially from women. Then when I come out of the shop he covers me with doggy kisses as if I was away for years instead of minutes

| I have the same "problem" wherever I go too. I don't mind - it is flattering. Both mine are so loving and outgoing, not to mention adorable. It scares me to think that they would go happily with a perfect stranger though. They are puppies yet so maybe they will be more leery of strangers when they grow up. |

| oh yes I think most yorkies get this reaction! when i walk the boys, in the park, the neighborhood-wherever-they always get ooh, and aahs, and people cooing and making a huge fuss over them haha. that is why they both think they rule the world! Remy is 6.5 lbs and Roscoe is 7.5 or 8 and people always comment on how small they are...I can't imagine if I had a 3 or 4 pounder! I think they are just too cute to resist and they way they strut and prance around makes them even more irresistable. I've even had random people wave and tell me how cute they are when I take them on car rides! It's too funny!

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | It seems to be that way with us too. There are always people telling me how little they are, and they always want to know their age. When I tell them they are shocked and 99% of them say that they thought they were still puppies lol. I always also get asked what breed they are - and if mine are brother and sister because their faces look similar I guess?? I think it's cute though that people seem to take such an interest in them....it's sweet! P.S.- Your Trixie is soooo cute, no wonder people come up to you all the time!!

| Thank you. It is just a very new experience, since I was always the kid in the last sit at school. Now that I have trixie, I feel as if I am right on display .

| ha ha, I love it! We took Gypsy EVERYWHERE when we only had one dog. It would be so funny because I would end shopping and their my fiance would be holding his 4lb yorkie in the mall. Who does love a tall handsome man with a tiny dog? Everybody Loves Yorkies!!! Even those people who claim not to be dog people! Kate (Gypsy and Prissy) |
