| Very Scary!! This happened in her backyard! If someone else has posted this .....sorry!! Watch this video about a Bald Eagle involving a cat and a cute little Yorkie!!!! Very scary!!! I know there are members on here that have been devastated by the loss of their furbabies to hawks and/or other predators. My heart goes out to you!! I know I had a horrible experience about a year ago with 3 hawks at once. Fortunately, I was able to scoop up my furbabies and run!! Yahoo! Note: there is a commercial at the very beginning then the video begins

I like her idea of building that big cage type area for him to go potty.

| That's horrible. On the video they say that the Eagle probably thought it was a squirrel. I'm pretty sure the Eagle itself doesn't care if it's a squirrel or a cat or a small dog - he just wants something to eat.

| That really is horrible. I know, I worry about hawks in our area. I too like the ideal of that type of cage enclosure. My sister had her 10 year old cat taken by an owl a year ago. You never know when this might happen. Scary!

| This has happened here in Victoria, Tx more than once. Last year, one happened right down the road from me with a Chi-weenie and a Chicken Hawk...They had it on the news and posted a warning in our local newspaper....The lady saved her pup but he had many cuts and brusing from claws...I always scan the trees for preditors...Scary stuff! |

| Chloe's breeder warned us about this when we got her , she said it happened to someone she sold a Yorkie to . It took her baby and she didn't get it back. So to make sure not to have her outside off leash . My SIL lives on the water and we always see Eagles , Hawks and worst of all those big Blue Herrings ....not to mention damn attacking geese those scare me ! I don't let Chloe outside without me holding her there. Nothing has ever made an attempt to get my dogs or her five , but just the thought of it scares me.

| That's so awful! We have very large hawks that fly overhead in the spring and early summer. We never leave our dogs out unattended, and if we see a hawk, we take them inside. I gotta say, the little yorkie (Teddy) in that video is a little cutie!!!

| A couple of months I went over to a friend house and I took my yorkie out to potty, and as we were walking up the hill in the front yard I say the shadow of the wings and I just screamed for her to run and I called out to her to come to me and I just ran to her and grabbed her up and I looked up and couldn't belive what I was seen, flew across the street and landed in a tree it was the scariest thing I every experience In my life. And when I went into the house and told my friend she did not belive me at all and I told her she will never have to worry about me or my baby coming back to her house and I haven't been back and she think its funny what happen. |

| When I moved into my house I told my neighbors I was getting a puppy they warned me of hawks and owls in the area that scoop up squirrels. Also...they claimed that they have seen coyotes in the area! I have yet to see either, but I am with Strawberry when ever she outside and I alway have her on a leash. They thought of her being snatch up is too horrifying!!!
