| Tim Is Home! Hi Everyone! Last Wednesday, we brought Tiny Tim home. He is wonderful! I've never seen such a laid back, lap loving, cuddle bug. He is always content in a soft doggy bed or in a warm lap. He loves to be petted and curl up in a lap. When you talk to him or when he gets sight of us, he smiles - I never knew that Yorkies had such a great little smile! I also love the inquisative look in his eyes! The first night, he slept at the head of the bed, in the space next to my head/pillow. He woke up around 1am and nudged my back and made a little noise. I rolled over and asked him if he needed to go outside and he put his head up against my chest and plopped down, curled up and fell asleep. It was so sweet. He must have needed the reassurance of a heart beat on that first night in a strange place. He is also getting the idea that this is his home and his family. When I came home from the bookstore yesterday, he was laying on my younger son's feet on the floor and gave one deep Woof! when he heard the door open. When he saw it was me he jumped up and ran to me. I told him he was a good boy, and that I was proud of that Woof! because it showed me that he was protecting those boys! He's only had one accident, but since he was still adjusting and I wasn't surprised. The first 2 days he really didn't eat, then on day 3 he ate a bunch which made him potty more - and that's when we had the accident. He's now eating more regularly and pottying outside perfectly. Even with his hip malformation he gets around great, he loves to trot around the house and run through the leaves outside. He is in no pain and lets us touch and pet his hips and legs. He will go to the vet soon so we can give him the vet records and the x-rays. We are in love with this dog! We love to cuddle him as much as he loves to cuddle us! It feels like the perfect match for our family. He is such a sweety, and such a well behaved little guy! I just can't believe someone would drop such a great dog off to a shelter, but I am now thankful that they did since it meant that he would come home to us! I love my Yorkie!

| Congrats! Wishing you, your family, and your Tiny Tim lots and lots of happy times together. Let's see some pics! I love that little lick in the middle of the night too.

| Awgh what a wonderful story! we recently added our GUCCI to our family, we felt the same way. It seems as if he was made JUST FOR US! We love this little guy. They will surprise you more and more with each passing day and owning one is definately REWARDING... we love our little pumpkin noodle to pieces and everyone that meets him adores him right away. You will have many more exciting days to come, some days he will be crazy and some days I am sure he will test you, but you will ALWAYS love the little guy no matter what! |
