| ![]() there was an OPTION! Seriously, I have rescued many breeds of dogs over the years.....I could go into "why NOT" on each one for sure....... But, when it came to Paddy.....well, its more like, "why not more". I love her dearly, she just makes me smile. ![]() |

| ![]() I have two yorkies...one is 7 lbs and the other is 3 lbs. The 3 lb. one has had some issues. BUT i wouldn't trade them for ANYTHING. I have always had outside dogs, so I am new at this too, but what I have figured out about yorkies is that they are so flipping smart! They are very eager to please as well. My boys are 11 and 10.5 mo. old and are almost completely potty trained. It is 100% the owners fault if your dog doesn't potty train. You have to be consistant. They tell you pretty much most of the time, it is very easy to miss the sign, But you get the hang of it. They are wonderful additions to our family and I highly recommend a yorkie to anyone!!! ![]() |

| ![]() I hope this helps, I got my first yorkie almost 6 years ago, she was one day under 7 weeks when I got her. Here they can sell them anytime after 6 weeks, which I don't have a problem with, if they're eating good, and are good and healthy, of course, I'm also home 24/7, which helps out. I had my first one 2 weeks, and she was already running over to the pee pad, she's never chewed, never bitten me, and has the sweetest personality. So, not all yorkies are hard to train. It's called patience, and praise. All puppies are babies, and housebreaking, is not usually they learn overnight. Good luck with your search |

| ![]() I have two yorkie boys, and they have had no health problems whatsoever and were both easy to housebreak. I have had some behavioral issues with Jackson, but they have been easy to correct. You have to be willing to spend alot of time and alot of work, but that is true with any breed if you want them housebroken successfully. The key is to correct bad behaviors right away. The first thing you have to do (if you decide to buy one) is choose a good breeder. Don't buy one from a pet store. Make sure you are getting a quality yorkie with no health issues. Do lots of research first and learn all you can, it pays off. I am very happy with my boys! ![]()

| ![]() I would not trade my 3 Yorkies for anything. IMO they are the best breed in the world. We have been lucky and have not had any issues with them as far as health and potty training. Have they had potty accidents? absolutely but usually it was my fault. You have to be very structured and patient as well as a fun parent. The positive things that these little guys bring into your life far out weigh the negative. Good luck to you with your decision ![]()
