| newbe Hi all I have a 3yr old Yorkie her name is connie, She has done a lot of travelling, as we love caravanning and connie has a fab time and she meets a lot of people. About a month ago we had a wedding to go to and since our trip there she had her throat kept collapsing and she was having trouble getting her breath, now she had the same problem about a year ago and the vet said this was a common problem with yorkies and not to worry! Any way its taken over a month for that problem to go away again but we have had major trouble with her not eating and shaking, and going out to the loo in the night, and her feeling very insecure. Connie is seeing the vet later on today, i hope its nothing to bad Cazanne |

| update Hi all Thank you all for your kind welcome, We took Connie to the vets where she had her throat problem came on and took her ages to get her breath back any way the vet called us in connie was shaking a lot the vet checked her over gave her a injection which had a pain killer in and anti- flammatory, she also is a bit worried as she kept arching her back which is a indication that she may had a back problem or she is arching it to help her self breath. Connie is on medication and has to return to the vet in 2 days time to see if there is any improvements if there is none then they will admit her in and take some Xrays and do some more tests. | Just wanted to keep you updated, last night was the first night we did not have to get up to her also she is eating. This morning when she did wake and came over for her cuddles she was still very shaky, so we know the medication had worn off, poor little thing, but at lest we know she has been in a lot of pain, and needs the medication which really does help her. Still the Big question to me is what is giving her so much pain? I must admit how she breaks my heart, to see her like this, but all i can do is is love her and i hope we will get this problem sorted out fast... Thank you all for listening to me, but righting this really does help me and knowing that your supporting us helps alot. |
