| Single Puppy Parents Hi everyone. This may be a silly question, but I am single for the first time in my adult life...(Those of you who know me know I am going through a divorce)...and I saw this little show online and it basically made single women with dogs look unattractive to males...like, we are pathetic and our dogs are like kids, so it makes us look desperate for babies...Well, I can tell you that I am SO NOT desperate for kids, but I am in love with my dogs!! LOL - I may be desperate for more dogs...but babies? I prefer puppies!! So, have any of you single puppy parents out there found dating to be more difficult b/c of having dogs? What do you all think? The TV segment can be seen here: L STUDIO - Original films, videos and more, brought to you by Lexus (Its the segment called Puppy Love in the Puppy love series...)

| ah yes and no. I am not married. I have had two boyfriends since I got my dogs, both of them were a year or so. Im still with the second guy. I can't say that Ive been 'rejected' because I own dogs, but I can see that some guys don't want to have the tie down of a woman with no kids but has dogs. Those guys usually just fall in love with your dogs though! LOL

| LOL!! Well, I live in downtown D.C. and there are a plethora of single men...I have been out on one date (was awful) and have a potential date...but I am nervous about the dog issue. Like, I LOVE Louis and Ella Bean. I would not consider kicking them out of the big bed...or giving up dog park time or anything...I guess I just need a fellow dog lover...In my fantasy of my 'dream' man, he would LOVE dogs too and fall in love with mine - as well as me, and maybe even have one of his own!!

| Before I was with my hubby. I had cutie come with me every single time I was with him. He would always offer to have her stay over his house for a night. I would freak and wouldnt let him. She is my child and I still treat as one till this day. I dont think it is unattractive...but if my little girl didnt like the person who i dated it would influence it lol

| When you get a little older and wiser you'll find out the dog is better company anyway.

And my first date back on the scene, all I talked about was the poochies! He was super boring though. His only plus was that he grew up with a YORKIE!

| I wouldn't be able to date someone who wasn't an "animal person"...it's a major dealbreaker for me. I only have one dog and one cat, but they're family. I'm single and I've dated while owning my cat and my previous dogs, but never with the newest lil' muttling. Hee. My motto? Love me, love my dog. (And cat. Even if she hates your guts.) | I think it's tough to date with a dog only because you're worrying your little one at home alone without you. But like the other responses, if a man doesn't like my dog, that's a dealbreaker right there. I find that most people would fall in love with yorkies once they get to know one.
