LOL! Plenty of guys are homebodies too! I will say, I haven't started babytalking yet, but I do converse with them and talk to them as if they are people (i.e. Do you want dinner, guys? Want to watch animal planet? Come cuddle with me!!) LOL You need to get yourself to a dog park! I have made girlfriends who also have dogs so we have playdates at home where we watch movies and drink wine while our dogs play!!! Its perfect! Now, if we can just add a wonderful man into the mix... |

haha! thats awesome. I hate when hubby says......but mommy did this .... |
The trouble with meeting guys who like dogs is that they tend to make fun of mine. I have gotten, 'that isn't a dog, it's a cat' or 'Is that a squirrel with cloths on?' or 'my dog would eat your dog for a mid day snack'! It takes a grown-up, secure-in-his-masculinity kind of man to carry a 4 pound furball with a sweater on! :) Now THAT is the kind of man I would love to meet!! :D |

LOL. So the consensus stands...men suck! I guess my ex's major redeemable quality was how much he loved Ella Bean and her two pound little self! |
He didn't even mind when I dressed her... |
Well...I guess he gets a few points then! Just a few though! ;) It is so fun when someone who makes fun of you for loving your dog so much all of a sudden converts! When I was little we had a Yorkie named Kiwi and my dad thought we were silly to fuss over her. Then one day when we went out for a walk Kiwi got tired so he picked her up and then kissed her. He stopped and said, 'For goodness sake, I just kissed the dog!' Talk about a revelation! He is such a softy now when it comes to my mom and my yorkies now! Hehee. |
hehe, I don't think this would be an issue for single women. dating is a selective process for both men and women. Even if there are some men out there who get turned off by your dog, those are the men who would have been failed from your selective process eventually anyways. Im not single right now. but I was when I got my first yorkie, had no problem meeting the love of my life (other than my yorkie girls). and before I met hubby, I dated this guy who did not seem to be turned off (yet)by my dog, but once he told me a story about him having a dog during his childhood, his mom always yelled at him because his dog wasn't behaving, so one day he purposely lost his dog in the woods. I got so turned off by the story that I left in the middle of dinner, and never went back to see him! |
Well, I didn't have a dog when I divorced and starting dating again, but I did have 2 skin kids. Lucky for me, it only took the first man and now we have been married for almost 3 years and together for 5 1/2. |

OMG. I would have left dinner too! Not just because of the guy leaving his dog in the woods - but frankly I have had enough of mother in laws yelling at my dogs!!! And yelling at me, for that matter!! LOL!!!! |
I have a date in a few weeks with someone I met at dog training class! Bonnie and Cocoa |
