| Who takes your pet's portraits? I debated posting this in Off-Topic but settled on General...This is sort of yorkie related. Moderators, feel free to move it if you want to. Have any of you taken your pets to JCPenny's, Sears, or Walmart to have portraits taken? I'm planning on having a portrait of my fiance and me taken but it'd be nice if A.J and KaCee could be in it too.

| I haven't done it yet, but I was thinking about hiring a pet photographer and going to the park or somewhere else in the city. I think I'd prefer doing this has natural lighting always looks best and a lot of the studio portraits I have looked into and seen have really chintzy settings/backgrounds.

| Oh, I agree, it would be great to have a photographer take some pictures of us in a park. Problem is, that also means more money. I'm just recently engaged so we will have nice engagement pictures taken this spring but I need something to tide me...and the parents over for the holidays. Most of the backgrounds probably will be pretty cheesy but really I'm just looking for something simple. Maxmom- Do you know if Walmart will take pet portraits?

| Try checking out craigslist and see if there are any college students who are looking to build their profile. They are usually inexpensive.

| Anybody else? I thought I remembered seeing a thread (probably a long time ago) about someone having some pictures taken at Penny's. I can't seem to find that now so maybe I'm just imaging it.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I don't know about walmart etc...but most professional photographers will take pet portraits for the cost of the sitting fee. They don't really care if the subjects have fur or skin.

| This year we are going to JC Penny's to have the girls portraits done because they allow dog and their prices are really good.

| We get our pet portraits done when PetClix ( Welcome to Petclix - The Pet Portrait People ) roll through town every year. Once a year also in Jacksonville they have a Pet Expo which has numerous pet photographers who set up booths advertising their service. Maybe your town has something like this as well? Also, I know whenever I go to a pet bakery around town they all seem to have bulletin boards with pet photographer's cards on them. I'd check around your town. Maybe even your yellow pages would have pet photographers listed.

| I thought I had read somewhere that JC Penny's will allow dogs. I need to check with ours but I just haven't had the time yet.
