| Meeko use to have this problem. He just started it one day when he was like 8 months old. I tried everything to get him to stop and nothing worked. Then I went home for the summer (I'm in college) and there was so much going on there with my parent's dog, my little brother and cousins always running around, and my grandparents living next door. He didn't have time to eat it, lol he had to hurry back so he didn't miss any of the fun. I think he use to eat it because he was bored. Since I'm back at school he hasn't started. I guess I'm not help tho but, sometimes it's nice to hear about people who've gotten past things. He just kinda grew out of it. I hear thats common too. So don't give up hope. I know how frustrating it can be. I felt like I was always brushing his teeth because he was eating poop.

| Thank you all for giving me these ideas. I was just about to ask this same question about eating poo. I caught my 3 1/2 month old Yorkie eating her poo. How disgusting. I go and brush her teeth and wipe her mouth. Just gross. But I am going to try the pineapple. You are saying to use fresh. Can you use like frozen or canned as well?? Just in case it not in for the season? Again thanks to you all for this information! |

| Personally, getting Billi to eat any pineapple is a gamble. Some days she'll take it, others she won't. Yes, canned pineapple is fine, but strain and rinse the juice off of it first. I use meat tenderizer and it works great & it's cheap and easy. Sprinkle some on her food and she's good to go. I haven't caught her give more than a whiff of her poo since I started using it a few months back. Good luck!

YT 500 Club Member | When I first got my pup, she ate her poop all the time. I gave frozen pineapple chunks cut up twice a day for six months. She finally broke the habit, took six months though! Good luck! My pup was from a puppy mill. Hence the poop eating.

| My little girl Reese eats her poop too. I am heading out to buy the pineapple chunks frozen. She is only 2.11 lbs. and 3 mos old. I had read to give them 2 chunks in the morning and 2 at nite. Is that going to be right for her size or should I start with 1 chunk in the a.m. And 1 in p.m..? |

| Well since we are on the subject. Hannah will eat everyone's poop. She even loves the cat poop. I stopped walking her in the grass because that's all she does is eat poop. I'm sure if she had the chance she would eat the horse and cow and goat poop. Why not..my other dogs do. I am going to see what Petsmart has today cause I like poop free kisses. She's on RC kibble & can and I wasn't planning on changing her food again.
