| One More Time and I'm MOVING OUT! Today, for the second time, I have made Stewie bleed while cutting his nails. I am terrified that he is going to start hating me and pack his bags. LOL. I know full well how to cut his nails properly -- i have done it a hundred times, but it is literallly an impossible task as of late. As he gets older, he becomes more stubborn and makes it seem like I am killing him with the clippers. He jerks his paw away as hard as possible like it is the end of the world. That's why I cut him.

| I've only trimmed Sully's nails a few times and more often than not I end up making him bleed....NOW Sully's nails are sooooo long and I'm too scared to do it. Kristy, you're not alone in your struggles!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | hmmm...Cheri is good for me - Chanel USED to be ....I don't know what it is about yorkies and their nails - What I do now is use a very rough emery board - you can take a few swipes and the nails file right down - I also have the vet do it everytime I go and both girls are GREAT for him |

Archie don't like his nails cut or a bath when we frist got him but my vet gave me the best idea. Have someone hold a spoon of peanutt butter behind you and put his head under your armpit and he dose great. He is so worried about getting a treat that he dose not even pay me no mind...lol its a funny site....lol

| I have never clipped Gus's nails. The one time I took him to the groomers they did clip them and they were so sharp that when I went to go pick him up he got so excited that he scratched me and made me bleed. What I do is after his weekly bath I file his nails. Gus is used to this and will just lay there on his back. He even falls asleep because before I get to his nails he gets a full body message. He loves this. So by this time his is so relaxed. I would be scared of clipping them for fear of cutting too short.
