| ![]() So, now I'm nervous. Ellie did have pancreatitis in January (diagnosed during an unrelated ultrasound0. Her lipase was up in October and I elected to do the Spec cPL. Her number is perfect. No pancreas issues right now. She is still having loose stools and that whole mess even on Metro and I'm thinking, should we do the TLI? If it doesn't get better after Metro, probiotics and diet change, we have to consider intestinal biopsy. Should we do more blood work first??? I'm glad you insisted on more blood work. It is definately true that you have to research for yourself. We probably wouldn't know about Ellie's high bile acids if I hadn't requested the test just because her symptoms weren't severe or exactly clinical.

| ![]() I'm glad to hear that your baby is doing ok, but after reading your post I am wondering if I should have my puppy checked out for the same thing. Since the weather has gotten hot,My Puppy Neo is constantly spitting up a foamy white substance in the morning, at. I told the vet about it and he told me it could be a little virus or soething he ate. I had blodwork done and they said everything seemed fine. I was told to bring in a urine sample but how do you get an overactive yorkie to pee in a cup? Worried about my Neo ![]() |

I am not nearly as knowledgeable as other YTers here about yorkie disease processes, but that response from your vet doesn't seem right. What kind of bloodwork? Usually vets will initially do a CBC but that only tells if an infection is present...as well as a urinalysis. Doesn't sound like he's thinking of other things besides infection.

Tell your vet to take the sample - mine takes urine from my dogs during routine blood work.
