| Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Well its sounds like a mouse. It is that time of year also. I believe a glue trap is cruel also. The animal just sits there until it dies. Put some poison way back in your cabinets where you baby can't reach. It should kill them all off. And I hope its no Racoon cause you don't want you or your baby to run into one of those..LOL |

You want to "kill them off" but you dont want them to stick to the sticky thing...then throw them out in the field..????? LOL Well, I tell ya, after last month, I have NO PROBLEM with catching them on the sticky......We have/had field mice...that would run thru the kitchen....well we caught them on the counter in my kitchen.....yuck, I bleached everything....then running in the kitchen.......then one night I heard something making a scratching sound....I was in bed viewing the kitchen door....then more noise.....so, I woke hubby up to go look.....guess WHAT......it was a MOUSE, a regular mouse...not a itsy bitsy field mouse....that darn thing was 2 inches and a long tail......no, it was NOT a rat thank goodness..but the darn thing was huge, must have been the Mommy to the entire field of mice on our 6 acres...!!!!....and when hubby picked up the plastic it started screetching.......OH HOW AWFUL!!!!! I dont care......inhuman or NOT, it is gross. So, whatever it takes......to catch a mouse......I dont care! Esp since our "mouser" cat could care less...... ![]() | |

| Hope you figured out what the mystery visitor was. I don't have a problem with mice - I have a Dixie dog! She's killed a couple of mice in her time - now they don't come anywhere near the house. ;P

| I agree with not putting that horrible paper down. Those poor little things have been known to chew their own feet off to free themselves. No animal needs to be treated that way. Live traps are the only way to go. Live traps and mouse-proofing your house. There is no need to be cruel. |

| When my oldest daughter still lived at home (and when we still used sticky boards), she would scoop up the trapped mouse and the board, along with a bottle of baby oil, and go outside; she had discovered that a bit of baby oil on his paws would free up the mouse and she would let him run free! She said she hoped the experience was enough that the little critter would remember and not go back into the house!

| So what was it???????? And I apologize for sounding so stuffy in my previous post. I don't have any negative feelings about mouse traps that kill efficiently I just hate to think about any creature suffering. |
