| YT 3000 Club Member | I would not leave a yorkie outside, too many things that could happen. Yorkies are stolen out of yards all the time, much safer inside |

| My Yorkie isn't even let outside by herself. I'm sure she would be happier spending her days outside but it isn't safe. If the pen is uncovered, you have the threat of other animals attacking. Even if it is covered, some Yorkies don't do well when it gets too hot or too cold. I would not want to take the chance of heat stroke or hypothermia. Yorkies are inside dogs. They also have a very high theft rate. It just is not safe to leave them outside alone ever. You obviously want what's best, so I say listen to your wife.

| My two boys are never left alone outside, even though our land is fence in. to much can happen in a matter of a sec. Here is one good reason not too, Rattlesnakes In Loxley - Alabama Baldwin County Loxley Dogs - WKRG.com

| If we do the doggie door thing I'm making a completely enclosed pen even from the top. Like, fence with bricks around the bottom and a lattice on top, which means grass won't really grow there and who wants to mow it so I'm going to look into K9 grass. (fake grass for dogs) Loki has diabetes insipidus and so he goes outside to pee like 15 times a day. I'm sure he would prefer "self-serve" ![]() Why not do something like that? Or, you could get something like this: Penthouse Dog Potty - an indoor dog toilet | Cosmopolitan Canine
