| Anyone else have a silky/yorkie cross? I know this is pretty specific, but I was wondering if anyone else had their yorkie mixed with a silky terrier. I got Isla who is 75% silky and 25% yorkie and was wondering if anyone else had a similar dog. I was going to try to see similarities and differences between the breeds. And maybe which one my furkid took after more. Just curious! |

| Okay I will see if I can post some pictures. There are more on my page under albums but you have to click on the part that says "view all" I have 3 albums one for each of my dogs. His mother was a Silky and his father a Yorkie. He is a great dog.

| My 4 yr old Chewy is a Silky, and my 4 month old Peanut is a Yorkie... I have pics of both in my album too. Chewy has longer legs and a longer body and face.

| thank you for posting the pictures. he is really cute! BUT! he looks just like a yorkie! i can't tell how he is different from a regular yorkie. i guess silkys look like yorkies for the most part. just the body structure/build is a little different. am i right?

| Sometimes it can be hard to tell. I guess they can take from either side I suppose. I looked at alot of pictures when I first got Tucker to compare. Where I could really tell the difference was at a dog show. The show quality Silky and Yorkshires look completly different. The Silky is larger, longer body & nose and taller ears. My husband actually prefers the look of the Silky, I like the Yorkie look better. Your little baby is adorable!
