| yorkie with an imperfect leg Hi everybody... let me introduce myself a bit. I'm a yorkie lover and I used to have a pair of pet quality yorkies. But I understand nothing about the quality of yorkies... Now, I've been trying to get a good quality yorkie. and than I found a beautiful one... but the breeder told me that the rear right leg of that yorkie is not perfect. He said that the muscular amount of rear leg in the right is less than a muscular amount of left one. But the joint and bone is normal... I don't understand what that mean... could someone help explain it to me? thanks before... |

| I can't but I would call your vet, if you don't have one, find one and ask for an explaintion regarding this problem. Maybe someone here can offer assistance but I would call my vet for guidance. Good luck, Poor baby. |

| I would have the Yorkie examined by a vet - possibly even have x-rays taken, at the cost of the breeder. If you decide to adopt the pup, you can reimburse her, but I wouldn't take that dog on without a serious evaluation beforehand. A friend of mine paid $3,000 for an amazing show quality Chinese Crested - from a reputable breeder - only to have the dog develop some sort of problem with the hind leg that requires surgery. Now, she loves the dog and would never give her back to the breeder, as the breeder has offered to take her back, but its sad that the dog, owner and breeder are going through this...
