I would have the Yorkie examined by a vet - possibly even have x-rays taken, at the cost of the breeder. If you decide to adopt the pup, you can reimburse her, but I wouldn't take that dog on without a serious evaluation beforehand.

A friend of mine paid $3,000 for an amazing show quality Chinese Crested - from a reputable breeder - only to have the dog develop some sort of problem with the hind leg that requires surgery.

Now, she loves the dog and would never give her back to the breeder, as the breeder has offered to take her back, but its sad that the dog, owner and breeder are going through this...
