| question about neutering incision Roscoe was neutered last Thursday [one week ago exactly] the day before we got him. I think everything is fine, but I just thought the incision would look more healed that it does now. He is not licking it obsessively-just occasionally and he stops whenever we say no. I tried to limit his activity for the first few days but it is getting really hard now b/c he is a youngin'-running and playing etc etc. There is no discharge and he doesn't seem to be in pain but the incision still looks fresh to me-not like it is healing up. Is this normal for only one week after surgery? How long did it take your lil guys to heal up after being fixed? Thanks!

| I seem to recall Daizy's incision looking fresh the first week....but by the second it starts looking more healed up... As long as the incision isn't red or swollen...he should be ok....and you said there wasn't any discharge from it.... If it is red, swollen...call your vet...otherwise give it another week...and it should be looking a whole lot better.
