Polls on the west coast close pretty late (I'm CST), but we should know something after the polls close in North Carolina, Virgina, West Virgina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida. If those are still too close to call then we'll have to pay attention to Colorado and Nevada. As much as I want to know the results, I wish they wouldn't *call* anything until the last polls close on the west coast. Sadly i think people see who the "winner" is and decide not to vote. We have never had to wait in line to vote in the 5 years we have lived here and today we had to wait 25 minutes. I'd rather wait a bit than see no one there. We kind of had to explain what to do to the young kids who were behind us. It was so refreshing to see all of the young people there!

You have to remember, in Hawaii, it's only 7:32 am right now, so, will have to wait for them too..

The judges took the longest here. Most of them had nobody running against them so why put them on the ballot? The decision is already made. It could have gone much faster.

That's what drives me crazy, the waiting! By the time it's 9 pm here it'll still be 6 on the west coast and no where near that in places like Hawaii. So I'm chomping at the bit wanting to know and really they have no idea. My Mom says, we don't really know who won until we read the paper the next morning.

I think places like New Hampshire are already closed.

I just voted there were no lines but apparently there was a HUGE number of people in our small community that voted early.

I've been by our polling place three different times today and the lines are out the door. The school is only a minute from my house, so I will keep checking!

Right, but Alaska and Hawaii only have 3 & 4 electoral votes and they aren't close races (Alaska is strong McCain, Hawaii is strong Obama). That's why everyone is focused on the east cost because there are more "toss up" states where no one can predict the outcome and some of those toss ups have a lot of electoral votes (Ohio: 20, NC: 15, Florida: 27)

Right now they are talking about the problems people are having voting. We shouldn't be having all of these problems!

Thankfully, I live in a small town, and was able to vote very early this morning with no problems.

I left class early today to go vote, my teacher didn't seem too happy, but it's my first time voting and I'm excited! Luckily, I didn't have to wait in line at all!

I voted at 11:30 this morning, and had only one person in line ahead of me. I was in and out in less then 10 minutes. No long lines here.

I must say it is upsetting to me that our millitary people who voted may not really get to vote at all. I heard on tv today that their votes probaly won't make it to the US in time/if at all to be counted. I also heard on tv and read on the computer that most of the millitary people are voting for McCain.
