| YT Addict | I would definatly have a chat with them first. I was walking with a woman who lives along our local offleash dog park. She has a golden retriever, and people are ALWAYS given him treats through the fence, she gets annoyed because now he has a bad habit of bugging random people for treats when she takes him for walks. |

				   | I think it is nice to want to give treats. I generally let people if they ask or if I am nearby and can see what it is they want to treat with. But It bothers me when people give my baby treats without asking. Just because I know what she has eaten and what I am allowing or not or if she is about to have a meal and I don't want it spoiled, etc.... But if they don't mind...by all means, treat away!

				   | Giving treats is always fun, especially for kids. I agree that the owner needs to be aware and give permission for any feeding. As far as my dogs, I wish I could train them to only accept food from me or my family. I'm really paranoid about someone trying to poison my pets by passing them a tainted "treat" thru the fence. I never let them out of site when outside. I also agree that children need to be taught to stand back and ask owners permission before approaching or petting their dogs, for the safety of both.
