My hubby said why do you even ask, you do what you want anyway!!:D:D:D But I always ask |
OK, I want to clarify why I say my dh won't let me have another dog. Dh is disabled (multiple back surgeries) and has a spine full of metal. It is hard and painful for him to bend over. Adie and Skeeter both have been hard to house train and since dh is home all day he is the one stuck with cleaning up the messes. On top of that if you have ever had a german shep then you know that the land mines Ivan leaves look like they belong to a horse! Dh also cleans that up every day, but dh puts up with the pain and doesn't complain (too much) I think that gives him the right to make the decision about adding family members. so yes, if I didn't already know the answer I would ask him if I could get another yorkie. Now look what you did...you went and made me get serious. But I feel a little hurt to think that any of you think I am under his thumb or that I "obey" his commands. We ask each other if it is aright to do or get things. It is really pretty even. |

Update :confused:Well I am very disappointed to say that as of yet I am no closer to getting the yorkie pup than I was yesterday! I am sooo frustrated!!! I have tried all day today to get info on him with no luck! I WILL try again tomorrow! I've been doing this thru a second party so tommorrow I am going to try to contact the person who actually has the pup and speak to her directly! :eek:I promise to let you all know as soon as I find out anything.:animal-pa |
goodluck I hope you get the puppy or at least some info!! :p |
okay....I GUESS I can wait another day to find out the outcome...I guess *** big sigh***:D I'm sure you really are on pins and needles waiting to see....I wish you all the luck in the world...:4lc::xfingers::xfingers: |
I'll get serious too. Don't ever let a forum post make you doubt or feel bad about decisions you make in real life. It is loving & caring to consider your dh's feelings when adding another member to your family. We have 2 furbabies because I just insisted & I probably shouldn't have. He also helps to take care of them & of course, loves them now but they are twice as much work and money & they are both so spoiled that you have to hold both all the time. There is no way I would give up either now but I probably should have deferred to his judgment. That doesn't mean that is the right decision for anyone else. Young, energetic & wealthy people probably do fine with a houseful. Quote:

Update Unfortunately I didnt get the puppy. As i was afraid of I got ahold of the owner just a little too late! BUMMER!!! :(:(:( |
I wanted a Yorkie for along time. Hubby wasnt sure if we needed a dog so he kinda kept trying to give me all the reasons why we shouldnt get one. Well, I was hell bent to get my Yorkie so I waited until about a week before hubbys birthday and guess what he got? You guessed it. He came in from work and Lucky and I was waiting on the couch. I said Happy Birthday baby. lol Within 2 days Lucky had him wrapped around his paw. lol. He spoils him worse than me. We went to the Smokys a couple of days ago and while I was out shopping he bathed him, brushed him, and had his lil vest on him. I dont know how anyone could not fall in love with these lil babies. :) |

That really is too bad, hopefully things will work out for the best and there is a good reason for it. I\'m sure with time your dh will come around. Mine let me have 4 dogs before he put his foot down but it was really hard talking him into the last one. Good luck! Let us know when you get him softened up and get a new little one! |
