I FOUND HER!!!! I have my baby back!!
 

I'm so restless and happy that I got my baby back in my arms!!!!!! :D


A couple days ago, I got a called from a man (who found one of my flyers) asking for more of a description of her and the area that I lived. Then he said the store that he frequent (about 5 miles away) had found a dog that looked exactly like her and got her from the same area I lived. Then he said he would have to double check and get back at me. Then this morning he called and said it was her. He told me step by step directions of where she was and told me that they want the reward.

Anyway, I went to the place and half a grand later, I got me baby back! I don't care about anything else, all that matters is that I got her back!!! She is going everywhere with me and is not getting out of my site!

The people that had her cut all of her hair and took her to the vet, they got her shots, rabies, etc. They said, the vet told them that someone had kicked her and bruised her rib caged. They were very nice and and I could tell they spoiled her. They bought her clothes, leash, a blanket, and collars. I'm not sure if they stole her or someone else did then let her go. My mother and the people that had her started yelling at each other. She got mad because they cut her hair and she thinks they are the ones that stole her. I had to make her calm down because at that point all I knew was that as long as I got her back, they could have whatever they wanted. My Mama started cussing and was about to call the cops until I told her calm down and yadda yadda yadda.

I will be adding a picture of how she looks now. I just can't believe I have her in my arms right now!! I'm going to my vet in a couple hours to get a look over and to get her microchipped.

Thank You all for all of your prayers and concerns!! I probably wouldn't have been able to find her without the extra prayers!!!

OMG!!! I don't know she came to be with them, either stolen or sold to them or found who knows... doesn't matter now... I am sooooo happy for you.

Big hugs. Is she chipped? If so, why didn't the vets check it? If not, might suggest it.

I am one of the lucky ones. Most people don't see their baby again.

No she wasn't chipped. My vet appointment for her to be chipped is in a couple hours while I get her check up.

HOORAY! I am so happy for you! It was a really unnerving story, and I'm so glad it ended this way! You are right, what matters most is that you have her back, no matter what it took! I am so glad!!!

I know! Well, It did have one but we had to take it off because the power went out in a mile radius around our home, the electrician said it originated around our block so he had to go into everyone's backyard to check something. It happened more than once so we had decided to keep it unlock so they can go back whenever.

just curious, did you offer a specific reward on the poster? if not, isn't it like kidnapping and holding someone for ransom, or extortion or something? i just can't believe you has to pay $500 to get your own dog back. i'm glad the man called you, he deserved the reward :aimeeyork

I'd ask the vet about her shots and make sure that she does not get over loaded with more.

Great way to start your weekend!! I'm sure you'll be busy spoilin' on your baby. I think she looks rather cute with her new hair cut.

I'm so very very happy for you!! I don't live far from you and so it is doubly unnerving for me and for everyone else, of course. I always keep my gate locked, except for when the guy comes to mow the yard, and then for that day the gate is unlocked till I get home. I don't think I can do that any longer - thank God it is almost winter and the lawn will only need to be mowed one or two more times!!!

OMG! I think I would have been out of my mind with worry. I'm so glad you have her back! Hug her and never let her go! :) I wonder if by cutting her hair they hoped to disguise her in some way?

Yeap, i did. On every site that I had listed an ad and on some of the posters. It wasn't suppose to be that much but I had to pay for the things they bought her, too. I was willing to pay anything when i saw her and it was as if i payed for her things at the end.

and that's the exact reason my mama was angry. and the first thing out of their lips when i showed proof that she was mine was 'where's the reward?' She got really angry then

one of them said that she was that way when they found her and the other person was like, her hair was matted so they just cutted it all off. They said it at the same time.

I was trying to keep everything cool so I can get my baby and go, but my mother was getting ticked off at everything they did and said.

I am so happy you got your baby back! That is so awesome.

May I make a suggestion now that she is safe at home with you. Call the police and tell them the story. The folks that had her either stole her or most likely got her from whoever did steal her. If they got 500.00 out of you there is a huge incentive to go dog nap someone else baby now. For the safety of other dogs in your area, tell the police and let them sort out the details.
