| Wondering if anyone has tried the powders that you sprinkle on food to stop the dog from eating cat poop? Here's the background. I have Piper (Yorkie), two Springer Spaniels and 4 cats. Piper and one of the Springers eat their own feces and the cats. I can pick up the dog feces in the yard and I've built a large crate around the cat litter box to keep the Springer out. I can't put the litter box up high because one of my cats is 15 and she can't jump. I don't want to put a shock collar on Piper and there is no way I can get 4 cats to eat pineapple and I don't even know if they should. And, the reviews on the automatic cat litter boxes aren't good. I've said all of this to let you know that I've explored many, many options. Thanks!

| Yorkie's tend to be so helpful . They're meticulous about keeping litter boxes clean.

| I have heard that meat tenderizer works if you sprinkle that on their food. The vet can give you a powder to try too. But be advised that as soon as you stop using it the dogs will go right back to their old habits. My shepherd will eat the little one's and Skeeter likes to eat Adie and Cassie's. I hope you find a solution. I need help too. Last edited by Lou; 10-24-2008 at 10:24 AM. |
