You've gotten some great advice. The important thing is to not give up hope! Keep posting flyers with Silk's picture on it. Post them at Petco and Petsmart and any other pet supply stores in your area. Grocery stores, Wal-mart and K-Mart. Anywhere someone would have to go to get dog food, a leash, etc. Contact local vets and animal shelters. KNOCK ON DOORS. Go to every house and show her picture, someone will have seen something. Offer a reward. Just keep at it, a lady in our area searched for 5 days before she found her lost Yorkie. My prayers are with you.

Oh No!! Just please don't give up!! Post lots and lots of posters with her picture and go door to door if you have to! I hope your little baby is found safe. You are in our prayers.

Oh my heart just breaks for you right now. I am so sorry you and Silk are not together and hope the Yorkie angels brings him your way.

Call radio stations, tv stations, etc. You'd be amazed at how a community can pull together for a lost pet. So many people have such huge hearts and are willing to help in anyway they can.

Hopefully, no is good news. I keep checking here too to see if there is any. At least she's not sitting by the computer waiting. Let's all hope and pray that Silk is safe, sound and eager to go home!!

Jesus...Lord!

Most of you know that my dog Coty has been missing for 3 months now. Here is everything that I've learned so that you can find him IMMEDIATELY. Please print this flyer with a photo of your dog (I am sending to you via PM), in color and put up RIGHT now. I was out of town when Coty was lost and got home 5 days later. If I knew the things and people that I know now...I'm sure that my husband would have found him within hours of Coty being gone.

I have consulted with 2 "pet detectives" and have gathered a wealth of information from them.

Post the flyers at all major exits to your subdivision. Don't worry about the mailboxes. At the exits, people will see the signs and it will save time. Make sure that you print your reward poster exactly as I have sent it to you. You can change the information, such as the amount and the stuff to describe your dog, but trust me, this sign will probably yield you results.

I am praying for you. I know how heartbroken you are 'cause I've been there.

Tia Im so sorry your dog is missing and to read posts like this one must send chills down your spine as you will know exactly what this poor woman is going through as you are still going through it.Please just know my thoughts are with you both, and never give up hope. ( dianne and prudence)

Thxs. girl. I look for him everyday. Now that school is back in session I am going to post flyers at all of the schools (elementary, middle and high schools) next week, before the Labor Day Holiday. Someone has my dog and it may just take a child seeing the flyer to speak up. Plus teenagers at the high school would be glad to get a $1,000 reward. I will NEVER give up on finding him. At this point the person that picked him up thinks that they're "safe", but HA! You just wait....I absolutely believe that I am going to find my boy. I can't stand a thief and to think that my baby is with someone that would steal just sickens me. I AM GOING TO FIND HIM SOON!

Tia, you may just find him. You are right, kids will see or hear about someone having him if he is near by. I know a guy whose Yorkie was gone for well over a month. Someone (with a child) had the dog in their apartment. A neighbor finally called the number on the flyer and reported it. Bob went to get his dog and the lady wasn't home. He waited outside the door for over an hour and even heard the dog barking. The lady finally got their and at first lied about the dog. Bob informed her that he would call the police if she didn't show him what dog was barking. The young boy said "Mom, you know that is Kopper". They actually called the dog by his real name because they knew it the whole time. He took his dog home right on the spot. I pray that you find your dog. Keep the faith!

It was the mailboxes and doors that got me my dog back. Noone noticed the posters at the post offices or any of the major exits. He was missing a week before I was able to search for him that is where the friends who lost my dog put posters. I went door to door and to all the shops etc placing his posters and it was one of the ones I slipped in a mailbox that got my first call that brought me to the neighbourhood he was in and one of the ones in the door that got me the call to say he was at their house. An thankfully I had my other dog with me because by the time we found him he was so freaked when he saw me he ran to hide. It was only Izabella seeing him and running up to him that made him stop. So please do not tell her not to worry about the mailboxes. Put a poster EVERYWHERE that you can... and please let us know if you find him we are all praying for you

Also Tia you will find him again I know you will just do not ever give up there was a story on the telli about a woman who got her dog back after several years cause someone just happened to scan it for a microchip.

See! This is one of the scenarios that I believe will happen with Coty. And how pathetic is the parent that keeps a dog that they know doesn't belong to them? What are they teaching their children? I for one know that my flyers are EVERYWHERE in this town, have been put in the local and Houston paper and in all the stores, grocery stores, PETCO, Petsmart, vets and groomers -- even Starbucks, so they can't say that they haven't seen it. I will just snatch my dog and then call the police.

I'm thinking about calling the local t.v. station to see if they will do a story on it. That coupled with the fact that there is a $1,000 reward may help? Do you think that I'm nuts or should I give it a try?

Anything you can do I would do... If I had not found my dog I do not think my heart could have taken it.

Just my subdivision alone is huge. Coty was seen in an adjacent subdivision and of course my husband never thought he would even leave the golf course area where we live so that's where he concentrated for 5 days!

NY is large and money talks! Someone knows something and if she puts up 11x17 flyers at the major entrances/exits to where she lives -- I bet she gets results fast. I'm praying for her cause I am having flashbacks right now :cry:

The only thing keeping me together is my faith in God and I have two small children -- a 4 yr. old and and 6 month old. I will not let this steal the joy of being a good momma to them and me turning into a total basket case.

I just believe in my heart that I am going to get Coty back. I may be the only person that believes he is not gone for good, but there are stories about pets being returned to their owners years later. Now....I hope that it is before Labor Day for me of course! Just keep me in your prayers and that God will work on the heart of the person that has him. ;)
