| HELP- My puppy & new kitten i have a almost 10 month old female puppy, & just got a ummm... im thinking about 5-6wk old kitten. The puppy just got her 1st heat, tuesday the 7th, so she just stopped bleeding. Things are fine though she seems a lil stressed, & shes gotten very overprotective of me. one thing i noticed is her breast became a but bigger, so i figured, aww she went through puberty so of course they will get a lil larger, but just to make sure- thats normal right? Now... my biggest shocker was what happened about an hr ago. I went into the living room & saw the dog & cat sleeping together but the kitten had her head tucked under the dogs stomach, when i went to look & see what the cat was doing, she was sucking on the puppies breast, i was like what in the world. i know some dogs will adopt kittens after they just had a litter, but my dog is ONLY fnishing her heat, why would a cat do that? PLEASE help, i wanna make sure I dont need to be worried. I do have the puppies father, but he left to my in laws within 3 days of her heat & hasnt come home yet, & wont come home til end of this coming week. please any advice!?! |

Missing Yoshi Everyday! Donating Member | females who are not spayed...can in fact go thru false pregnancy...if you don't intend to breed her please get her spayed...it will lessen the chance of her getting cancer in her tits...

| yes i will breed her, hopefully on her next heat. i know they can have false pregnancy, but even as a puppy? I have seen one yorkie do that buy almost 3 yrs after her 1st litter. I would think it would happen to dogs who already had a litter & are wanting another. But yes- I am aware of the cancer. |
