I never knew on this day that I would fall in love with a 4 legged long tongued full of kisses warm as a cuddle bug male yorkie!!

Bleu Boy stole my heart 1 year ago tomorrow!

He and I have been through so much together. I know everything happens for a reason and I truly know me getting him was definitely in Gods plan. The first 5 months of Bleus life are undescribable to man. He gave us so much love and was just a human addition to our family.

One horrible day on Jan 10th 2008 I will never forget that day for as long as I live ALL OF OUR LIVES CHANGED! I could not get him help fast enough .. I knew it was my responsibilty and I knew I had to do something so I exhausted all my avenues and ended up at the "RIGHT PLACE" Texas A&M College Of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Heitlick (in which I hope to hear from her soon she is not at A&M anymore she is at another college now ...Took one lifeless boy and turned his life around and he was a brand new boy 4 hours after AAI Surgery on Jan 18th . Despite complications and full body casting for a few months all is well. We had to feed him as he could not feed himself. We had to do everything for him...It was so worth it... I miss so much him growing up normally but he is a big boy now and I am enjoying his life everyday as it is a "precious miracle"
I originally took him everywhere I went and he was a mascot. He was so little and so quiet in his carrier noone even knew he was there. Well like any typical boy he has "found himself" and is not afraid to protect mommy and bark and he is not afraid to mark anyone he comes in contact with he is FULL BLEU BOY and rotten to the core and everything he does we AWW over .. He does no wrong! Bleu Boy is still trained however I do not work him like I use too. One because of time and 2 him being casted has made it to where sometimes he does not want to do anything but run because he is afraid you will tie him down and poke him with needles or shave his hair completely to the bare skin. Bleu Boy has been through it all!!

If it were not for this precious boy I promise each and everyone of you I would not be on yorkie forums. I am thankful for BLEUS life today and I am thankful for all of you at Yorkie Talk the best educational yorkie forum on the net Thank you to Yorkie Talk I do not know what I would have done without you all. Your members helped me make it through and I am forever greatful for your forum.

What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful boy! When i joined this forum was when your nightmare of events began. I watched and prayed for your little ones complete recovery with so many others. I admire your strength, as you have been through so very much with this little guy and obviously spared no expense. You stood by him through it all. What a wonderful family you are and I am glad that Bleu found his way to you. God Bless you all and I hope that Bleu Boy Barber will have a long and wonderful life!;)

Thank God for this little Miracle! When I first came to YT I followed his thread and incredible story. I am soo glad it had a happy ending

Your little boy is so precious! It's amazing how much love these little ones bring into our lives. Bleu is so lucky to have such a caring mommy as you! Tell him I said Happy Birthday!!

Love can create Miracles and your love for him willed him to live and get better. What a tribute to you both!

It has been an amazing ride reading and going through it all with you Vicki...you have given a lot of other members the courage to go on and keep pushing even when told otherwise!!! I have so much enjoyed watching Bleu Boy's transformation into the handsome, strong boy he is today and I pray he continues to thrive and make you proud!!! You've done a great job with him!! :thumbup:

I remember when you came to YT, and have watched the saga of little boy blue over the last year. I was just wondering the other day how he was doing. You have such a big heart, and are such a wonderful addition to YT. We love this little boy! Congrats on a full year of happiness with him!

I joined shortly before you & Bleu Boy & his courageous Loving Mommie's story touched my heart forever! Tears of JOY and Happiness for Bleu Boy today, 1 yr later!! It's so wonderful that he is doing Great & looks healthy & Handsome!;) HUGS!!

Oh Vicki, I do remember that very long and active post about bleu . . . I know life could not be more better for you and your family . . . he is a precious little fluff . . . .

Look at Bleu, all grown up:love: You are the best mama out there and he was so lucky he ended up with you. It could have turned out a lot differently if he was homed with someone that didn't know what to do:eek:

What a difference a year makes! Your journey was long and hard but now you have a beautiful baby boy to love and call your own. Congrats on being one of the most devoted dog owners I've ever known.

Oh Vicki, I know what you thought with little Bleu Boy. There was a reason you ended up with Bleu boy. He may not have had a chance at a normal life without you. If I could give a reward for best mommy, I would give it to you with honors. I also agree, what a beautiful tribute to a beautiful boy. Hugs!

I can truly relate to everything you went through with Bleu as I went through it all with Sedrick (his trauma was similar to Babybear and was paralyzed pre-surgery). The stress, the emotional highs and lows and the amount of love I have for Sedrick truly mirror you and Bleu. They really are God's miracle, aren't they?

I am so happy to read such a super powerful thread! Your Bleu is so precious, and I am so thankful for you, that he is well... I have followed his story and laughed and cried right along with you...

God bless you and Bleu Boy! What on earth happened to him that led to the full body cast? That photo of him in the cast is so heart rendering you can see the emotions in his eyes! Here is a quote especially for you and Bleu Boy:)...

Oh my....your story...the pictures with the next post explaining when each pic was taken....was just touching!!! (sniff sniff) What a beautiful story!! I'm so happy he's up and running!! You've been through so much with him....he'll repay you a thousand fold!! (he probably already has)
