| Naked Puppy Another day another problem. Jasmine as I'm sure most of you have read got a really realy bad hair cut from the groomer ( who will neve groom her again) on Monday. I decided to just put a dress on her to try and conceal her bad hair cut. That is when the trouble began, I had a difficult time getting it on. She kept biting me when I was trying to put her arms? legs (you know what I mean) in. Then I finally got it on and she jumped off my lap and went running around as if she was on fire. It was really funny but I kinda woried because she wuldn't stop. She finally got tired and went and laid in the corner when I tried to pick her up she tried to bite me (not hard). I picked her up, thought she just didn't like the dress, so I put a preemie onsie on her, that mad it worse, she really went beserk, the she tried to chew it off. Do some dogs just prefer to be naked? I hate to take her out undressed all of the time. that was why I chose a girl, so I culd dress her up. Should I just keep trying? |

| I guess you should keep trying Brianna was like that thee first time I put a shirt on her. She would actually fall on her side and refused to walk. She tried to chew it off and she even cried. But I kept trying...I kept dressing her for shorts periods of time and now she doesn't seem to mind!

| Wearing clothes never bothered my girls at all. But I think for some they just have to get use to it. Good luck. |

| I would start out with something simple like little shirts and work my way up from there. It's like anything else. It's new to them. You could try it for a few minutes everyday. By winter, she'll probably love those clothes because they keep her warm!

| When we first started trying to get logan to wear anything, collar, harness, t-shirt, bandanna, he would run around and flop on the floor and try to rub it off and then he would just lay there and pout and act like he couldn't move. We started out making him where the collar just around the house and he finally realized it wasn't so bad when he made a friend and found out he could play with it on. Same with the t-shirt. For some reason i think they think they can't do there normal stuff, but once they figure out they can they don't hate it as much. I put a t-shirt on logan and took him to petsmart and he just loved all the attention he got. However, mine has never tried to bite me when i put it on. he would bite at it, but usually he sits very good til i get it on then he takes off and tries to get it off again. She'll get there hopefully. Picture of logan looking bummed in his new t-shirt

| They have to get used to it. Persistance is the key. Esme used to hate clothes, harness, bows, etc. Now, she wears it without a problem. Just keep trying everyday for a little bit and don't give up!

| Try a little at a time, start with a harness maybe, then a t shirt. My girls don't really mind too much, but they don't prefer a dress, I think the skirt bothers them. |

| Gracie hated it at first, but I perservered and gave her treats to take her mind off the dresses. Now, if I even pick up a dress, she walks over to me and sits down and waits for me to put it on her. Hang in there.

| Gus didn't like wearing clothing either. When I would dress him he would just sit there and not move or he would run in one of his beds and roll and roll. He has gotten used to them now. The only thing he still hates is his PJ's. Oh he hates those things. He wont bite me or anything. But when I put them on he will just sit there for like 10 minutes,,,,, he will not move. So I will go to the other room and he finally gets up BUT he will ony walk on his 2 front legs. I it so funny! After a while he knows that I am going to take them off and he has no choice. He gets somewhat used to them. He will run play and eat but when he's walking,, he walks sideways. And boy oh boy he is the happiest little boy when I take them off in the morning!!!
