Eye Boogers!! What is the easiest and most effective way to get rid of the eye boogers. My 13 week old puppy won't hold still long enough to get them out. Every time I try to get them out he will move his head and then they smear all over his face! He ends up looking worse than when I started! Help!

Training for Routine Grooming Welcome to the high Maintenance World of Yorkie's, this is one of your many duties. Just like w/everything else you have to "Train" them to get used to Daily Routine Grooming. I have 3 Yorkie's and they all have full long coats I do all of their Grooming w/c includes; Washing/cleaning out their eyes every morning w/a warm wet washcloth, Brushing their Teeth, Brushing their Hair. Artie has to have his Tail braided and tied w/a matching bow and he also has to have his Topknot done. I always try to make sure that their eyes are cleaned out completely and there are no is nothing on the surface of their eyes like Hair. I do this as a Daily Routine before I take them out, so they know that this signify's something Fun, they get go "Out or Bye Bye". So they connect the "Grooming" w/something Good that they enjoy. I also brush them before we go to Bed @ Night to Relax them to go to Sleep. Sorry if this seems that I got off the Topic but it is related b/c IMO it's part of "Training" and they will fuss & fight and act like they don't like it b/c they are not used to it. Good Luck!

| Daily routine is important... your baby will get used to it...they just have to learn to sit still. Daizy hated her hair combed...her eyes wiped....nails clipped....but now she does GREAT!!! Takes time, patience, and consistency.

Our puppy had the eye goo. We put her on a dog vitamin, and within two weeks she no longer had any of the goo.

We use Pawier (Pawier.com). Our yorkie is 6 pounds and we only use 5 drops a day of the Pawier in her food.
