| Trying To Find Yorkie Rescue in MA Does anyone know how to go about finding a Yorkie rescue? We live in MA I've heard some of the nightmare stories on YorkieTalk and was wondering if anyone knew of a "real" rescue in my area. I've looked online, but am not sure...some of them ask for rather large donations, is that the way it works?? Thanks! |

| There is Yorkies Inc based out of New England, I volunteer with that rescue, and yes their donations do range in price going up to $600 for a young healthy pup..... vetting is very expensive in MA, and all of our dogs are fully vetted before being adopted, includuing neuter/spay, blood work, rabies, distemper, heart worm and dentals if needed. We use all of the donations to help cover the dogs medical expenses,.... we use some of the money we get for a younger pup to help pay for our special needs pups and our seniors..... right now we have alittle girl who is going to need alot of medical care We are very small and run with a very small budget. We are real rescue we are non-profit and we are all volunteers who donate are time, home, and money to help these guys.....

| Thanks Kerianne- We actually exchanged emails about a month ago when my little girl was suffering with kidney failure...she has since left us. I checked out the website for yorkie inc. Where do these dogs stay before adoption?? In someone' home or in cages?? It's nice to know there is a nice rescue here in New England. I saw the little girl you were talking about...broke my heart. She probably needs more time than I can honestly give right now. I'm going to continue to check out the website and see if someone turns up who would mesh well with our family. Thank you for getting back to me. Kristen |
