| I had the same reaction. THen when my Roxy had her surgery I felt so bad that I decided to give it a try. They sold them at the vets. I asked by son (19 years old) to grab 2 of them. He was carrying them and I was telling him how everyone on YT recommended them, but I hadn't wanted to try it because the thought just didn't set well. He shoved them on me and started wiping his hands up and down on my arm - he just did not appreciate that he had been carrying that around. It was one of the few times I laughed that day. But I must say, Roxy absolutely loves them!!!

| Just don't think about it. Bully sticks really are the best, safest alternative to rawhide.

| I'm with you smoop! I just don't get it...with all the 'stuff' on the market for our babies to chew on like pig ears, cow hooves, bully sticks, sections of dried muscle, pig snouts and so on...why not just go out and pick up road kill for them?? It would be cheaper! I'll stick with washable toys, Nylabones and the occaisional leaf or stick but there will be no dead animal parts around here for my babies to chew on! |

| I almost bought one the other day at Petsmart. I too started rubbing my hand on my pants and put them down. Brady sleeps with me and likes to have a treat to chew before bed and didn't want that in my bed either |

| LOL! I got Lilly's first bully stick the other day. I just casually handed it to my 12 year old brother, "here carry this for me, my hands are full". A few minutes later I said "okay, give me the bull's penis", I almost passed out from the look on his face while he was saying "WHAT!" !

| They don't bother me at all. But maybe it is because I grew up on a ranch. I mean it is a tendon so it is from the inside of the bull. I think humans eat some pretty disgusting stuff....mountain oysters, sweet breads.....to name a few. I just wanna know who thought of going into the bull penis and getting the tendon out and then thought....this would make a great dog chew.....

| I had the same reaction when I first found out. They really are one of the best treats you can give. Dogs so need to chew and this is a great thing for them to chew on. Just don't tell your babies what it is, they don't need to know.

| I had NO idea they were a bull penis! How gross! I guess it is better than them eating their own poop though which is what my JJ liked to do before I bought him one of these and put pineapple juice in his food! I am with the person that wonders who thought of the idea..Let's see today, make dog chews from bull's penis..check. Too funny!

| Give Roxy and Remi their Bull-Winkies and they are like cats with a stash of Grade A Catnip, lol. I love waking up in the AM just to find out I've been laying on a soggy bullwinkie all nite - no wonder the pups won't stop licking me, I stink to high Heaven!!!

| well unfortunately these are just the decisions we are going to have to make for our dogs well being... rawhide vs. bullysticks.. would you rather have... bone that has been acid bathed to rid of the muscles and tendons from a dead animal that could be potentially harmful for your pup or... naturally cured tendons from the bull penis that can help your pups teeth and gums that have no effect on the well being of your pup? some things humans consume from all countries are no different than this.... as dogs do... we do it because it tastes good.

| I have been wanting to ask this question about the bully sticks but just didnt know how to go about it. I was thinking about getting my yorkies some bully sticks and started reading up on them and couldnt believe what they were made from.
