I have three yorkies. Two of them are squatters. One of them squats and lifts her left leg. She has long fur and does not want to get it wet. I have 2 squatters and one hiker.

Asha does the same thing, lifts one leg.I thought it was because she has watched my male dogs pee that way!

She sometimes kicks dirt after going to the bathroom like male dogs do too!

Kaydee squats and pees and walks at the same time, like she's sliding across the grass, it looks soooo funny.

When she getts ready to poop she turns about 4 complete circles and then squats to poop.

Gracie will sometimes lift one leg, and even both legs and do a hand stand squat when peeing. I think it is because she does not want to step in the pee. What a hoot to watch. She especially does this when going on a rather non-absorbent surface, like the walking path at the park.

This morning, Johnny lifted his front leg when he peed. Acutally it was better because when he put his front foot down, it wasn't in the wet spot.
